Israel - Palestine

We are very close to a huge turning point in the war. There's a reason Albo is warning Australians to come back from Lebanon. If Hezbollah launched the missiles it has at Israel it will most likely overwhelm the iron dome defences.

Israel may consider nukes from that point.

Hamas political leader had been killed.
I can this be a chance to work a way out?

Is Hamas a terrorist organisation, or are Western governments wrong?

Adel looks a little like Bob Brown, they're merging down there.

A senior university lecturer has repeatedly described Hamas as a “legitimate resistance movement” and denied Israel’s right to exist “in its current form”, sparking complaints from the Jewish community.

University of Tasmania food scientist Adel Yousif, who has Palestinian heritage, has been a guest speaker at multiple pro-Palestinian events in recent months, expressing views described by some as “Hamas propaganda”.

Complaints to UTAS have so far met with a defence of Dr Yousif, on free speech grounds, while he told The Australian he was “not a Hamas supporter“ and opposed only the “current Israeli model of incessant violent colonisation”.

Concerns within the Jewish community focus in part on information authored by Dr Yousif and shown on a projector screen at an “Educators for Peace” event in Hobart on June 26.

It lists “misconceptions”, including that “Israel has a right to exist”. “It does not have the right to exist in its current form of bigotry, racism and apartheid,” Dr Yousif’s projection says.

Interesting development.

I wouldn't want to be Chief Purchasing Officer for Hezbollah right now. Nor the Gulf State import firm.

Interesting development.

How clever ... Mossad managed to find a way to infiltrate all these pagers and simultaneously blow whoever was nearby up. They were using the pagers of course because Mossad had already been tracking peoples phones and sending missiles/drones in to wipe them out.

So clever aren't they ? Find and kill anyone , anywhere., anyway. And done with such quiet professional pride. I imagine there would be a number of potential clients who will be quietly knocking on their doors with proposals.

Of course Allah help anyone who turns the tables.

.." ... 2,800 people were wounded by the simultaneous blasts in Beirut and several other regions.

"Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, said the pagers belonged “to employees of various Hezbollah units and institutions” and confirmed the deaths of eight fighters."

And of course for people like our comrade above, it is completely okay for Hezbollah to send hundreds and hundreds of rockets aimed at population areas in Israel. The only reason they aren't mass casualties in Israel is because of their defense system.

Another load of hezbollah fighters blown up today, when their walkie talkies exploded.
Probably a good time to tune up the carrier pigeons.
There must be a bit of panic going on, with communications at the moment.

Israel blew up thousands of two-way personal radios used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon in a second wave of an intelligence operation that started on Tuesday with the explosions of pager devices, two sources with knowledge of the operation told Axios.
Why it matters: The second wave of clandestine attacks is another serious security breach in Hezbollah's ranks and increases pressure on the militant Lebanese group.

  • Lebanon's health ministry said 14 people were killed and 450 wounded in
  • The walkie-talkies were booby-trapped in advance by Israeli intelligence services and then delivered to Hezbollah as part of the militia's emergency communications system, which was supposed to be used during a war with Israel, the sources said.
  • The attack further damages Hezbollah's military command and control system.
