Israel - Palestine

My concern is the "green light" the western world has given to Israel.
The anger is justified, but the reaction won't be. IMO This is all part of a wider campaign by the wests enemies.

With all respect, I don't think anyone has given the green light for what is to follow.

This retaliation from Israel wouldn't have started without Hamas's actions on the 7th of October.

The reaction shouldn't even be a talking point. What else would you expect after that?

My first thought, when I saw this, is that the Palestinians are going to get demolished. They will get destroyed for this.

Whatever gloves Israel had on in prior conflicts, they will now come off .

I think we should focus on the actions from Hamas on that day & they should be the ones that are vilified.

Edit- The West's enemies should pay close attention to the response.

Our enemies would love to find a weakness in the West's response to aggression.

We shouldn't show them any weakness & we should show them the consequences of their actions.

It's really getting close to a boiling point & something needs to happen drastically to change the path we're going on.

Either that or the whole world is in conflict.

What Mo is alluding to IMHO is the foreign actors behind the Hamas attacks and their reasons why now?

Knobby called it a few pages pack & I agreed. Please see our posts at the bottom of the page.

I also agree with MoXJO.

Just remember it is Iran who is Palestines main supporter and supplier of rockets and equipment. Iran also is the supplier of drones to Russia as one of their strongest allies.
It is not surprising that Russia would be passing on captured weapons to their ally Iran.
Yes I agree completely.
It also serves another purpose- to draw attention away from the Ukraine war

I'm not a fan of either side. Buy hamas will bomb its own civilians for propaganda purposes.
As much as flattening Gaza would solve the problem. We cannot allow what amounts to genocide.
Hamas needs to be destroyed. Palestinians (despite their hatred of the west) are still covered under "civilians".
I understand the reaction. But cannot support what will be war crimes.

The human cost
The propaganda cost
Despite the fact they wouldn't show us the same mercy.

The rules were set in place to prevent the west from acting on emotion.

I'm hearing Congress has approved attacks on Iran sponsored assets.

Two carrier groups in eastern Med, with troops ready to hit the ground.

The s41t is rapidly approaching the fan folks...

the trouble with this current imbroglio is that someone who shouldn't may invoke terminology along the lines of "The Final Solution".

Man charged over 'offensive comments' made at pro-Palestine rally in Sydney

A man has been charged over offensive comments he allegedly made during a pro-Palestine rally in Sydney's CBD on Sunday.
Police allege the 63-year-old man was one of thousands of people who attended a pro-Palestinian gathering in the wake of Hamas attacks earlier this month.
He was arrested at a home in Mt Druitt in Sydney's west about 8pm yesterday.

The man has been charged with the use offensive language in/near public place/school.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on November 15.
Police are continuing to investigate.

Very good points & a good way to look at things!

As long as no third parties intervene, Israel being the greater military power is in military control of the situation.

I also think it's an extremely difficult situation & some situations will be extremely hard to judge. Made even harder by the fact that there are hostages involved & due to the atrocities committed.

I do think the Israeli's will try to follow those rules whilst the enemy does not consider them at all.

At least we can give the Israelis credit that they haven't wiped out Gaza as of today.

I don't think many countries with nukes would be so forgiving.

Seeing some idiotic claims it was thermobaric or a JDAM. Apparently the missile fragments were cleaned up. If it were Israel they would have paraded them around instantly.

They could fake it after this amount of time.

Anything is possible of course. But the narrative keeps changing from one side that has a history of propaganda. Thats not going to work in the west anymore with social media.

According to Fin Review,
the US navy has intercepted cruise missiles and multiple drones fired from south Yemen where the Iranian backed Houthi rebels are entrenched.
It would be surprising if these missiles and drones were not heading for Israel, but that is still speculation.
Whatever direction they were going and whatever their intended target, it marks another escalation in the middle east war.
Some worrying trends, especially for all the civilians who will become martyrs for Alaah, whether they choose to or not.

They are also reporting that the IDF is about to invade Gaza.

Was with a client yesterday who is Jewish, and has family in Israel. Her 2nd cousin is one of the hostages :(

I can tell you that their community is traumatised and terrified and believe they are looking down the barrel of a potential second holocaust. It was very upsetting to say the least.
