Wow.... Senile dementia pedo patient doesn't know what's going on.... Anyone surprised??

5 or 10 y ago, the Israelis would have bombed Iran within hours with full hands on help from the states.
But this is now complex as Iran was key in bringing in new oil supply on the market to lower the poo .
If oil gets higher, the US gets inflation, direct hit to economy and bankrupt as the USD and bond market collapse.
Mr Biden..well his masters are stuck..loose loose..well played for Iran and the green plague forces ... And again, Mr Xi can wake up and smile reading the news, as does Mr Putin......
We just pay, cry and are slaughtered

So do we now have an "attack" from Iran on a US asset to start a conflict and change regime?

There's a lot of unconfirmed rumours/conspiracies that Russia and Iran hacked Israel's alert system.

More historical context (abridged)

This is all you need to know about governance in Palestine also known as Israel now in some quarters.

A pox on all their godbothering houses, both Israelis and Palestinians. You would think the silly buggers would have learnt by now. If I see any more Muhammadeans shouting Allah-uh-Achbaar and running towards some impressive ordnance or more Israelis turning to a wall as if they are going to have a pee while reading Bestbets and nodding so, I think I will puke.

I like the Roman way of running a region even one as godforsaken as Palestina Prima and Salutaris which division for me was the beginning of the end of a peaceful corner of this rare earth.

Same goes for people demonstrating or spilling crocodile tears on television to encourage or fundraise for further mayhem or to dehumanise the other side.

Prior to 66 BCE - Statist and Religious Mayhem under various low brows until Roman Rule and Order established.

66BCE - 400 AD. - Roman Rule and Order established. A just time. Mind your own business and keep your godbothering to yourself.

400 AD - Present Day. - Statist and Religious Mayhem under various low brows.

What did the Romans ever do for Palestine you may ask.

They only brought relative peace to the region while various religious nutters tried to prevent the pursuit of carnal and other pleasures, knowledge and philosophy.

The Palestinians have to get rid of Hamas somehow otherwise Israel will wipe them out.
Hamas is the natural Palestinian form of the fondamentalist green wave.
Wiping Hamas would require wiping most of Muslims there..so the whole population
The woke left has this dream that Islam and other religions are the same and can cohabit in a secular state..
Tell them they are dreaming.
Solutions...hum a pretty radical one which might happen : a H nuke wiping the whole area Israël and Palestine sorting the issues... leaving 10+ millions deads of both sides
No thanks.
..Less radical ones..no idea..

A uni student doing work experience in Plibo's office participated in the Opera House protest against Jews. I wonder if he was one of the ones chanting 'gas the Jews'. Apparently he's sorry.

Do you reckon Plibo doesn't know about the character of the staff she lets into her office?

i think that's a given.

So, given current trajectories, a few options
- escalating conflict. Regional mess. Global mess
- Gaza gets pummelled to wipe out Hamas, with high civilian casualties
- West pressures Israel to pull back, who counter with ; okay, but allow our boys, Mossad, Shin Bet, the unnamed ones, to take out known Hamas operatives in your countries.

At the risk of having to compare humidity at some time in the future I believe you to have become quite the old dry balls in your grey years.

It is quite normal for young people to go out on demos such as this in their youth. I myself collected a few bruises on anti-Apartheid, anti-Vietnam and other anti-democratic marches. ( a majority of voting age in the West supported our involvement in Vietnam and Apartheid ).

Leave the poor chap free from the condemnation of the Woke which seems to be a majority within the Federal ALP. Hopefully he'll grow a pair and not apologise next time or gain wisdom and not get involved in supporting either the Israelis or Palestinians in this genocidal war.

I think the prospect of this escalating and other States becoming involved is too much of a risk toward a slippery slope, WW1 like. But, has the World learnt its lessons? Doubt it. But, nuclear weapons are the only reason the World hasn't been at war again since WW2. That's probably stopping Israel from doing anything but assassinating Iranian nuclear physicists.

I think a more extensive and concentrated effort against Hamas and Hezbollah is required, supported by other Arab nations, if that's at all possible. Maybe if Saudi and the UAE get on board it might work, but it would mean Iran, Syria and Qatar would jump to back the anti-Jew side.

If the UN was good for anything, they should green light a permanent and massive peace enforcement military and police operation in both locations Hamas and Hezbollah control. This would come under their 'responsibility to protect' mandate. But, the UNSC has Russia and China veto power, so it's a complete waste of time even considering it.

My solution to the UNSC ineffectiveness is to expand it to 7 countries, adding in Germany and Japan and it becomes a majority vote for action. Those discenting are committed to no action or get removed from the panel. That might just turn the World into two blocks which establishes the foundation for major conflict.

I think the general pop do not realise how significant this attack is to Israel and what they're intending to do in response. The West Bank is going to be completely occupied by the IDF and they will go door to door to find every last Hamas fighter. Some of the stories of what Hamas did to the civilian population is disturbing and brings back Rwanda stories for me. We said we'd never let that happen again, hence R2P.

The hair gets cut off before it can turn grey these days.

I think this poor chap is a barometer for the humidity in Pilbo's office.

Labor leaders in Western Sydney have been very obvious in their silence.
