Etrade problems

Accepting orders this morning, but won't let you modify or cancel.

What a load of ****e:mad:
I've had a few order placed to the market, but they have not been executed even though they should have been according to the market depth. This is legal action stuff. :mad:
 
yea...mine is pending cancellation....not happy

even worse now....it said it had accepted my cancellation

but then sold my shares any ways >>> whats goin on?
 
these things always happen when there a major pull back in the market, looks like their sh*t **** server js cant handle the load... is Comsec having similar problems?
 
But surely they knew that this could happen.

Why not just upgrade whatever it is that needs upgrading.

Isn't the service they are providing regulated?

I used to work for ANZ, their server isnt any better either. All their mainframes n servers r located in India, dunno if thats teh case for etrade as well...
 
Etrade is always slow in the first hour of opening. My "available to trade" amount is never correct. Frequent server timeouts.

For the $30 per trade they charge, we expect things to actually work. They market their system as fast and reliable. They offer massive freebies for new subscribers, but once they have you on board, they couldnt care less.

And I have taken the same attitude towards them. I've used up their free trades, and then transfered all my positions to other brokers.
 
This is rubbish. Usually from 10-11am there is long lag when you click on something until the page loads, but today's lag is unbearable (~2min).
 
Old site doesnt work for me for some reason, I only signed up 3 months ago.

Their site consistently has problems. etrade has cost me a few entries / exit opportunities and when I rang up, they wouldnt even reimburse me with as much as a free trade.
 
At times of stampede, there is no site that can handle that, but Etrade is riddled with faults.

Also has lousy way to handle e-mails, actually highly unprofessional.
They do not acknowledge that they received e-mail also they take 5 working days to reply, some are left unanswered.
You just have to call them.

Money missing or excessive amount shown is quite normal for this broker.

Inability to create order, amend it or delete it is quite common to this site.

Compensation is almost unheard of.

Somebody could come here, provide the same crap at reduced price and I would probably change broker.

I would have the same service at cheaper price, why not!

Market depth has stopped working. I've noticed this on and off for at least 10 times the last couple of months. Available to trade balance is completely wrong and has been for months. I have sent 3 emails so far- none have been answered. I only do a couple of trades a week, but still....
 
ii even applyed comsec just to see the marketdepth :eek:when etrade is not doing his job
there are always ways around the problems but hey....
even i think i took i a little bit far ...
 
last tuesday, i have to call and argue with one of the "friendly" customer service. i can't put buy order coz insufficient fund while it shown i still have heaps of cash. instead of doing a favor fixing the right things to do, he gave me stupid solutions to open new account in etrade and transfer all my holdings there. what a crap ???? :mad:
after 30 minutes arguing, i called again and speak with assistant supervisor. i complain a lot about his stupid guy.
10 minutes later, that stupid guy called back, as for apologies and gave me 2 free etrade.:D

I sent them E-mail about that 2 Aug 07, right on close.

But I waner why I bother.

They will come with another poor excuse or blame my internet connection, or my computer, or they will not respond at all.
