With a new vaccine doing the rounds, I thought it may be worth starting a thread, since Covid maybe vaccines will become more common place.

Unsure whether to keep the Covid jabs up.
Had the Shingles one 3 years ago.
To us that was a no-brainer.

Yeah , I'll be getting the new , 2 -dose vax for that . lasts for about 10 years , too.
Shingles is painful . Really awful .You don't want to get that .
Might get another damn Covid jab at the same time . ( only because it doesn't give me any side effects ) . I'd prefer the non- mRNA one though. Is it Novavax ? not yet approved for this country .

@frugal.rock When i was badly injured 4 years ago my Dr of the day was adament that the shingles jab and the covid jad would be administered separately about 2 weeks apart. The shingles was first perhaps the reason being I was suffering system shock of nearly being killed. Covid was new at the time.

A friend recently had the shingles jab and said it was a really painful one, I would assume that it is the vaccine that stings, rather than the needle itself.
Anyone else found that it stung?

Had the 1st jab of the 2 jab shingles felt like I had been run over by a truck next day arm swelled up and painful for a few days plus no sympathy from the wife

Got the jab from Dr Chow in town he is getting on but has still got great hands never any pain.

Better the needle than the disease . I know a fairly young person that got Shingles . More than once , too. It's really horrible.

Had the shingles jab about 4 years ago, from what I can remember the needle stung a bit but that was all. The arm was a bit tender for a couple of days only.

Over 65 I think and it is free or cough up $300 odd

Yes had the second shingles jab, no problems, the chemist did an excellent job I didn't feel a thing.
Not even a nervous pizz. Lol

I had similar a few years back. Tetanus jabs do me in as well.

I am OK with Tetanus, flu etc even the Covid jabs when I was getting them, shows how different we all are inside the bell curve all good outside you might die...
