Trading upon market opening

I wish to know who trades on the Aust. stock exchange, as soon as the market opens. The general public don't seem to be able to trade until 15 minutes after the market opens. This was the case when i was trading CFD's with CMC. Any information you could give me would be appreciated.....thanks....Bruce

First of all I don't trade the opening, but anyone can buy in during the premarket auctions starting 30 mins before the opening. No idea why you think that the public can't buy or sell until 15 mins AFTER opening LOL.

The market then "opens" at 10AM, but in actual fact it slowly opens each share over the next 10 minutes, usually in a random order.

For basic questions such as this just look at the ASX web site man.

You can trade if you follow the sp IAP for the morning auction. Your trade wont show till open though.
P.S. Your not trading CFD's anymore?

With CMC CFDs you are trading market maker prices and they don't allow you to participate in the openning and closing auctions.

You can find other CFD providers that will let you do that. These are know as DMA (Direct Market Access) CFDs.
