The state of the economy at the street level

Which is what should happen, because Australian universities used to be held in high esteem as did all Australian qualifications, now we are trash.
All because of self centred politicians wanting to further their own ends IMO.

Hopefully some left wing loonie wakes up and turns the ship around, because at the moment anyone that says this is going to end badly, is told they are right wing nazi's. Lol
not just the pollies sadly

BTW the the first letter in NAZI means Nationalist , just so you know the other side proudly don't give a rats' about the nation or economy

now sure some take that national pride to extremes , but look what the careless have done

So let get back on track:
Attendance at my Monday cafe was roughly a 1/3 of usual this morning.
Bad for the new management..
BUT
We are next to the council office, work has just started again and school holidays are still on so hard to judge.
Last week, we managed to get a cheap breakfast special by the seaside.during holiday season.Mooloolaba sea front, sunny coast..It was mission impossible for the last couple of year as prices used to jump gor the holidays

Yes it made green meat edible apparently.
A chef I knew told me he would marinate/ wash off chicken in vinegar, cook it and dish it out.

I'm guessing that there's a narrow window of opportunity otherwise the bacteria would get to far in and the taste would have to be affected.

I'm glad I never ate where he cooked at.... somewhere at Crookwell NSW, retired now though.

We call that primordial soup in our house

Eg, this is what I found recently behind seven half empty jars of hot english mustard and some organic mayonnaise that was three years out of date:

Shocking shrinkflation now. Portion sizes of everything are a joke. A $48 double-decker chicken parmy doesn't even fill me any more.
Snickers bars are fking ridiculous at this point. People will just stop buying it. Everyone is already bootlegging alcohol. Won't be long before the rest of this sht becomes backyard bathtub made.

Things are starting to improve, a doss house I know of, the head honcho on disability has told the rest to get off their ar$e and get a job.
Obviously things are getting tough. Lol
Like I said, sometimes you need Labor in, to bring a bit of reality back to things.

To rephrase, you need ALP in power to destroy the economy to such a state that they themselves have to stop their outraged rage at common sense measures described as capitalistic far right nazi class war.
I agree this used to be the case 40y ago here and overseas but at least in Qld, even this was not enough and a change of government was required.
Do not give yourself excuses to vote Labor, you are responsible for the consequences ๐Ÿ˜Š
Back to the thread now, we all agree on the lately increase of bootlegged alcohol, black market for cigarettes, black market for vape and already existing drugs plus recession coming:
our governments are building a fertile ground for crime and powerful gangs in this lollipop land.

I was of the opinion that powerful gangs and organised crime were fairly ensconced already.

The bikies have a very successful toehold in whatever pie chart that you want to look at.

They are yesterday's gang, they will be done by more ruthless, more agile and more internationally connected.
Not that i would want to mess with them, let's see how it unfold.
Not 100% sure if this will be an outcome primarily of economics struggle, or just overbearing government control and idiotic decisions regardless of economic state..which is the focus of this thread.
