The squiggly marks look like spray paint to me.

Just imagine being handed back something like this after you've renovated. The problem now is where did the dirty sods that did this end up?
Poor C talk about doing a number on swell housing. There's no time for it. sorry owners needs a bit of paint...

Currupt Cops don't work. what can ya do!

There are still cheap housing options and "good news stories" of people willing to take on these options.
Anyone for a $12, 500 house in Norseman ?
Nice video.

Not everyones cup of tea
, but good on her getting off her butt and making the best of a bad situation, rather than all the woe is me stuff.
I'd be surprised if the locals don't band together to give her a hand.

I was looking at property over the weekend. It seems a lot of housing stock is old and 'tired' and maybe, with land values soaring, in need of renewal, to break from being undercapitalised. This is especially true inner city or fashionable suburbs such as along the coast.

At one place, a 900 sq.m. block with 1950's weatherboard on it, the agent was spruiking the already approved DA and how it could be dress circle. But sadly, I pointed out, that would then likely overcapitalise the place. (busy road, no view, too far from the beach.)

Aha, then it could be strata titled ... state gov't would love that, because there's 3 sets of stamp duty. .. 80k from this sale, and 2 x 70k from each new dwelling when they're built and sold.. He went on to say, actually, this is why they like to rezone. Good source of revenue.

And multiple council rates for the same patch of land.

Apartments are problematic in Australia, all the strata laws then the dodgy builders that go insolvent due to warranty issues. Also a lot of conflict between users with common areas.
Body corporate fees are horrendous, comparing to US HOA, need to share decision with dimwits ,egos and pay for the privilege , never again in residential building.
I had much better experience with BC on industrial estates, professional, sensible

I've heard a lot of HoA stories. Makes me want to steer clear of strata's in Australia as I assume its pretty similar.
