I remember the days when the DOW Jones Industrial Index was designed to be "An INDUSTRIAL Average" /Old Age
The NASDAQ was deigned to hold The New Age TECHS

With the Great Success of the Tech Sector BOOM `~25 years ago and beyond the SEC found that they could not milk the public on The DOW as the NASDAQ was taking all of the Available Funding

They had to do Something, because everyone in the Financial Industry could not say "Shell Be Right in the LONG TERM" anymore as the DOW JONES was Plummeting against a Rising NASDAQ

I remember writing to the ASX and Suggested introducing OUR OWN AUSDAQ
Naturally, It fell on Deaf ears and I never got a reply
I probably should have put it in Capital Letters

Anyway, What do you think the SEC did?
They let the Best of High Tech into the Dow ONE By ONE
I mention this today to point out the next 2 Charts

the NASDAQ 100 has been heading NORTH
The Question is
Where would the Old Economy/ Good Old DOW JONES be Without the Heavy Weighting of the best MEGA- TECHS to day?

All the Major 3 Indices are loaded with these MEGA TECHS except for My beloved Captain Russell and his 2000 sails
