Resisting Climate Hysteria

Would have thought there would already a heap of papers on the subject given the vast numbers of marine biologists.

Nice to hear some good news for a change I stopped reading a lot research the outlook is not great.
It depends whether you are reading ideology or actual science ;)

If you're a marine biologist at James Cook Uni and you question the science, you get sacked.

Getting to run research is all about funding, I know in the medical field only about 10% of proposals receive funding, pretty sure that's all private and government.

The balance maybe changing but its been long the case fossil fuel companies by far have more resources to run their defenses against any thing that threatens their interests so funding anything that questions CC is relatively easy problem is of course is the data.

I obviously only dove/dived on the good reefs last week and not the ones the Guardian dive on.

I didn't see a bleached coral in the slightest.

One Tree Island is at the southern end of the reef, the cold end, so maybe rapid warming is an issue and the coral can't adapt quickly enough. No problems in the warmer end though.

Or, could the Uni of Sydney, who the run the island research facility, be getting sponsored only if they find some bleaching?

Research at the station focuses on climate change and bleaching, eutrophication of reef systems, carbonate chemistry, geology, sedimentation, bird ecology, sustainability and the ecology of reef organisms.

This is only just the start for Australia.

We have rushed into Green-Marxist RE zealotry with abandon the last two decades - fooled by Global Boiling activists.

Both sides of politics have failed to see that the first priority for Australia is energy security, and not global warming virtue signalling.

Our heavy industries are going to be crushed unless there's a rapid change.

That change will probably only come about when the general population feel the impact of zero electricity.

I'm going to invest in diesel generators.

Totally agree... But didn't realise we had any heavy industries left?

I've got batteries, but coming to doubt their total reliability and access to service if they go down. I'm thinking a diesel generator as a bit of insurance.

Failing that, I've got about 5 years worth of firewood. At least we'll be able to boil a billy and cook some roadkill and damper :p
