Hi all,
I only trade the SPI so everything I need assistance with is SPI related.
I'm looking for help with answers to Ninja Trader.
But first I want you to know I have tried many .. many hours looking for answers and sending equiries to ninja support.
I am willing to pay anyone who is very good with Ninja and can talk me through these issues. I don't have any more time to waste. I need direct phone assistance taking me through each step until each issue is solved.
I'm using esignal realtime data (futures only)
Issues:
Simulator charts not loading with Data
Only 78 days of data loading on daily chart even though I set data series to much longer
Heaps of no connecting to e-signal data error message, then some times it does ?
Correct filling in of all SPI related tabs forms etc
Cannot receive charts with continuous data (24hr)
Cannot save the data series box for 15 min charts more than 5 days loading, each time it opens it only shows those 5 days.
Big chunk of data missing out of a daily chart
Looking forward to speaking with you, I'm sure these are simple issues for the more advanced but in reading ninja support foums all weekend I see people experiencing similar problems since 2008
PM me if you can help

Dline, I've just recorded a YT video. IT shows how to select the instrument and them how to apply the correct session template, and ensure you've got your setting to mergebackadjusted, which is important. If you need help then we can Skype and i can walk you through the video, as Australia's internet is not good enough to share screens through Skype...yet..

I spent quite a lot of time trying to get the SPI Esignal data working with NT about 12 Mths ago.
My conclusion after much research is that NT doesn't allow for continuous SPI contracts.
My advise ditch Esignal and just use Brokers data and or purchase historical data.
I'm sick of repeating myself and I certainly don't recommend AMP futures as a broker however it seems to me that for a deposit of $400 for a live account you get CQG data free with no exchange fees surely this is a better option than Esignal?:2twocents

Anybody running Ninjatrader on Windows 8?

Trying to set it up on a Windows 8 laptop I just bought..no luck however - I keep getting the attached error message (see screenshot).

When I attempt to download this link from the windows site, I am unable to...so I downloaded the appropriate link for Windows 8 and am still unable to install Ninjatrader.

Ninjatrader forums are inconclusive, some people say they have been able to set it up, other have not?

They're actually charging me exchange fees now...150 odd per month

Thanks for that. I was thinking of hooking up with AMP for the free data and the static DOM. Will rethink that decision.
I agree with the previous poster about ditching Esignal - I was with them for 3 years but they are very expensive for the data they provide. I am now with Kinetick - not the cheapest but gives me more data than Esignal did for less than half the price

I've still got my live AMP account running still no exchange fees but I have a paid full version of NT so maybe that's the difference.
Looks like other options as well with free data.............amp2.JPG

One of the advantages with AMP is they provide SFE Data and a lot of the other brokers do not.:2twocents

My prediction is that providers such as Esignal will encounter much greater competition and unless they adapt they will be finished.
Thankfully as a Systems trader data is becoming better and cheaper every day. Trading platforms are beginning to integrate data and this is great new for traders.
Here's a cheap Futures data provider that I have being usinghttp://disktrading.is99.com/disktrading/ no SPI data though....

I've never had issues with my ISP connection but since getting NT free version for trial and connecting to Esignal ... man what a F... headache !
I will check the integrity of my ISP connection if all's good I might change data providers but then again is NT sensitive to a "not perfect internet connection ?"
Thank's alot for you input buddy :)
BTW your signature link doesn't work

Thanks for the heads up on the Signature (working now)
While I believe that NT has good features as a discretionary trading platform.
I'm not impressed with NT as a computer program IMO its buggy slow and resource hungry.:2twocents
