Hi All,

I am new here so this has probably been asked before. So if you will point me to a link or something to search this place I would be happy. However,
what I am keen to know is which TA software has the best programable features.

I am interested in being able
1) to create new indicators,
2) Create back test conditions.
3) Scan the ASX for instruments which meet my indicator conditions.

I use CMCMarkets software which has a nice ability to do 1 and 2 above. But its slow and really clunky and tend to loose my code when they automatically upgrade their software.

I have heard of metastock and amibroker. But dont really know much about them.. Not used them before. I am really interested in hands on programmers's experiences with any TA software.

Thanks
Fishy

Plenty of good threads to search through here.

I recently switched from Metastock to Amibroker and have particularly enjoyed it. I've found it to be a far more versatile and compact package and I'm gradually learning how to code in amibroker and have found it particularly intuitive - a suprised considering I've not done any programming since second year university.

Never used Metastock, but AmiBroker is very good, especially for the price.

I've never used any other package to compare, but AmiBroker is very good for all of those things.

You're really only limited by your own programming ability.
