This has happened a number of times before. I lead at the beginning of the month and then crash at the end. No wonder there is a saying “King for a day, Fool for a lifetime”. 🤣🤣

Where is that thread where you can alert to or discuss ASF functional issues?

Anyway, resorted to this thread.
Just got hit by a scam query from my bank (Commbank) over a Visa credit card charge from TradingView for $349 which they said looks like a scam. I took the 'no' option in reply, i.e. I did not authorize the charge.

Now I'm wondering if I inadvertently did!
I went to tradingview via the link on this thread to try the free trial. The page the link took me to made no mention of a free trial so I took it upon myself to page around till I got to a subscriptions page and there I saw a folksy "its like 60 days free" above various plans. So it appeared to me that I had to pick a plan to undertake a free trial. So I picked a 1 year plan and signed up thinking that at the end of the free trial I'd get to choose whether to proceed with the paid plan or not. I have a lousy memory for things like this so I don't remember providing my Visa details but don't think I did. When the charge notification came it said it was against 'bankcard' whereas I only use a Visa card. I was never notified beforehand that my card was about to be charged.

The email receipt was a 'no reply' but eventually I found the tradingview support page by googling (couldn't find any contact link on their website).
So now I've got a billing query 'ticket' from tradingview, so see how it goes. Commbank has locked my card and maybe they'll reverse the charge regardless of tradingview's response.

Only purpose of going on at length here about this is to warn others that the tradingview free trial is a kind of entrapment in my view, or at least not clear and transparent. But maybe that's me being a troglodyte? Certainly not wanting to bother admin about it.

By the way, the reason I don't want to subscribe to tradingview is that I couldn't get the software to make usable charts on my galaxy phone, which is the only device that I use.

@finicky Looks like a scam, sounds like a scam and it is a scam. Wrong card gives it away.

@farmerge I'm starting to think not.

I reviewed the link to Tradingview at the start of this thread in Joe Blow's intro and it doesn't mention a free trial at all, just a $15 discount.
Then on the Tradingview website subscription page it also doesn't mention a free trial it says, "it's like 60 days free" (see snapshot).
I just saw what I wanted to see after faffing around and getting frustrated. "Haste makes waste", a blunder by me🥜

Hey I just got your nick, 'farmer' plus 'ge' and you're a farmer plus probably have a name beginning G.
