Started to rain here on the Scarp about 45 minutes ago, just gentle stuff at the moment with the promise of plenty much to come.
Apparently down in the South-West corner it has coped a drenching.

Just hit 25 mm averaging 5mm an hour and with no wind, just dropping out of the sky.

Checked the rain gauge earlier Had 28mm from yesterday until 7am. No damage good for the rain water tanks and farm dams.

Woke up to a decent amount of rain this morning. 7mm so far.
As has been the usual event, no wind to cause any damage.

Just popped down to Bell's Rapids for a beer and a chat with a buddy, the Swan is actually running. Not quite white water yet, but it's a start.

Howling wind last night and some rain, then more rain this morning, only to find when we went outside that half of a very large wattle has been broken in half this creating more work.

Just completed the final paid cropping job at lunchtime today and then it started to rain.
Cool and damp enough to keep those mongrel parrots and galahs off the sown crop for the time being.

Can't pick the weather that BOM forecasts for our area.
Today was a forecast of 0-2mm and to date had 6mm.
Very handy as the water supply is not that flash for this time of the year.
Creeks are still not flowing and dams are still filling.
Household water tanks nowhere near full either.

Had some decent rain overnight (41mm) and another 4.5mm so far today. Another 20mm odd tonight would be good as then the home rainwater tanks should just about be full.

Last 2 days rainfall has been the best for the year for us so far, 51mm, creeks are finally trickling.
Another couple of inches is the forecast for next week.
Kind of stuffs up programmed work but the falling rain is far more important.

Well it's not raining at present but the forecast for tonight and tomorrow is a bit above the average. it would appear that if the boffins at BOM have jagged it then some serious rainfall is coming our way over the next day or so.
