It's Raining

I've seen some really inspirational stuff done with the old horseshoes. The mechanic I use for some of our vehicles has done a really good job making a 1 metre ball out of them.
Another one I know about, unfortunately the owners (both) have since met their maker, is a spinning 1 metre ball. very impressive.
Their is a bloke just West of the Guildford Bridge who has some top stuff, and prices to suit.
I've given him old scarifier points and other bits and pieces over time.
Haven't seen much in return though.
There's some talented dudes out there, that bloke near the bridge does great stuff.

Check these out.... and there's hundreds of examples of different stuff on the interwebz.

British farrier colleague... There are none better than this guy. Just click the link to watch.

Looks as if we are in for a proper winter week coming up with a forecast of perhaps around 90mm.
Came back from Busselton this arvo after taking a truck load of stuff to our sons farmlet. Rain and heavy at times with wind made the 2.5 hour trip into 4 drag. Struggled to see the vehicle in front at times. Could not believe the speed that some of these people drive at in conditions that do not warrant 110kpm.

Wayne. so much for the chance of 1mm today.
The gutters are running nicely into the holding tanks.
Not going to be making wages today, but staying dry and enjoying the waffle.

It's setting in hey? I'd love to stay here at the Baskerville shooting the sh*t and drinking Guinness, but time to get back to work :(

I've just had a ph call from a super filthy rich bod I work for wanting to know why I'm not on site working. Told him I don't stand in the rain unless its an emergency. If you want me there now have a LOT of cash in your pocket.

Haha, there's a bit of a joke among horse people - Why are farriers like cats?

We don't come when we're called and we don't stand in the rain

Are you also attracted to heat?

And do you sleep a lot?

It's raining outside at the moment. My cat's stretched out on the floor toasting itself. :2twocents

Forecast rain for today has finally arrived up to this point 7mm with tomorrow's forecast to be perhaps around 20mm.
Wet days are my friend, got tomorrow off.

Holy @#$& Farmer. Getting hammered down here on the flat!
When I bailed out this morning, thunder, lightning and RAIN with WIND. hit the 25mm mark at lunch time, probably the wind blew most of it over the guage. Half of my machinery shed is ankle deep in water.

After some really good rainfall a few days ago, the BOM forecast was for next to zilch for the following days. So far the past three days have produced a useable amount, and at the moment it is raining. Not bad for todays forecast of fine and sunny, actually it was heavy fog till mid-morning, cloudy and now precipitation.

Actually its more like decent drizzle 2mm so far but certainly better than the 39 deg yesterday and all the previous ones.
Forecast for about 9mm for tomorrow.

Pathetic so far in the valley, probably about the same here.

A reasonable fall tomorrow would be very welcome.

The blue, unrelenting blue skies and Sun have given way to cloudy conditions with a gentle drizzle falling, and Thor banging about in the clouds.
As long as the drizzle persists then the farmland will not suffer scouring and perhaps some of it will be able to soak in.

Moderate rain so far in the valley, 5mm or so, so far.

Let's hope it's a true break.
