The brown patch.

Sometimes the market simply does not offer any good long set ups. At least not in the hours I was watching. I was reaching and should have been waiting. That's all there was to it.
 
Gold will head back down to recent lows.

Long ES at 4156. Will double down if it goes against me. Target 4167.5
 
Will add one at 4145 if it comes that low. Still a reasonable chance it will move up from here.
 
Sold both at 4150 - small loss only.

Strarting to look likely again. Will be another long some time tonight.
 
A couple of aliens showed up where the price fell short of touching the trendline, indicating weakness. There's some subjectivity in this, but it's quite reliable. Hoping for 40 ticks along the projected path.


 
Better entry this time. 4131.75.

edit: Went a few ticks above my target and the broker didn't sell. I guess that happens a bit in real trading?
