To clarify, despite the mention of ‘Skate’, I am not the user ‘ppeakey’ on the platform (X) formerly known as Twitter. While my profile picture has been used as 'ppeakey’s avatar, any resemblance stops there. The true identity of ‘ppeakey’ is known to @Nick Radge.

I didn't realise this was a support desk...

However, without explicit confirmation from @Nick Radge or the users in question (@TheGreatPieEat1, @ppeakey007, and @Ppeaky01), it's difficult to verify the connection between these accounts.

I just want to be a profitable trader
Becoming a profitable trader can seem like a daunting task, but with the right tools and mindset, it's definitely achievable. Technical analysis is a powerful tool that can help traders make informed decisions and identify potential trading opportunities. However, it's important to remember that technical analysis is only effective when used correctly and in conjunction with a well-thought-out trading system.

Technical analysis can be a powerful tool in trading
However, the use of technical analysis effectiveness hinges on the correct mindset and proper application. System trading, which incorporates elements like trends, moving averages, support and resistance levels, and other indicators, can streamline the trading process and enhance profitability. By integrating these components into a trading system, the path to becoming a profitable trader can become more manageable and less daunting.

# Sometimes, phrases may seem insignificant at first glance, but they often carry deeper meanings.

Trends
It is simply a directional pattern on a chart from which traders can derive future price movements based on historical activity. If a trader believes a stock will continue trending up, this might prompt a signal to buy.

Momentum

Refers to the rate of change of a particular stock price. For example, a price that moves from $5 to $10 in one week has more momentum than a price that moves from $5 to $10 over one year. This is another signal a trader might account for when making trade decisions.

Moving averages
An average of a stock’s price movements in the past helps smooth out price fluctuations. They can help traders answer the question - is today’s price movement part of a broader trend or a short-term distortion?

Support levels
This is a price point where a technical analyst expects a stock will not fall below. As a stock price drops and approaches the support level, a trader can buy the stock, anticipating it will reverse course and begin appreciating in value. Essentially, support levels are prior lows.

Resistance levels
On the flip side, a resistance level is a price point that a technical analyst does not expect the stock to surpass. On a chart, these bands can provide an exit point for a particular trade (i.e., sell the shares before the inevitable reversal and decline). 'Resistance levels' are the inverse of support levels.

Indicators
Indicators, which are metrics that evaluate current conditions and forecast potential trends, serve as vital signals in trading. They play a crucial role in informing traders about supply and demand dynamics. The value of these indicators in shaping trading decisions should never be underestimated.

See it that way Mr @Skate , you have reached fame😊, you got troll of your own.
Maybe you could monetize that: holidays in Bali and selfie promoting your own line of skin moistener😉

Have you ever noticed that trends come in pulses?
'The Pulsing Progress Strategy' is a trading system built to capture these pulses. The strategy is designed to decide when to buy a position by incorporating a bunch of different indicators that include things like the Average True Range (which measures how much a stock’s price is changing), Support Levels (the price a stock is unlikely to fall below), and the Relative Strength Index (which measures whether a stock is being bought or sold too much). It then uses these indicators to create four different conditions and if any of the four conditions are met, and the market is going up, then it generates a buy signal. Deciding when to sell is the next hurdle to consider.

I simply shake my head
It’s puzzling why he behaves this way. It turns humorous when he begins sharing topics that seem irrelevant and seemingly uninteresting to others.

Yes never understood, I am thankful to Nick for introducing me to systematic trading via the unholy grail book, and was keen moving to Noosa to have the opportunity to potentially catch up etc, but his behaviour made me very cold.
There is nothing wrong loosing money on a trading system, past is not representative of the future, systems and markets evolve and only fools would purchase a machine to print money, unless governments, reserve banks or mafia..or is it the same.😉
Never understood.ego maybe?
Very disappointing to be honest...and maybe a bit sad, and definitively counter productive for his business.

This is so interesting for me. I've also been forced to think deeply about Mr. Skate's insights here , on the psychology of trading . Wise words from Mr. Belli , also , " money is not the be all , end all of everything , that people think it is " have also stayed with me for a long time.
This plus and minus game we all play here , really is a funny business. It must affect people in many different ways , I guess. For me it's been , more than anything else a ...sort of deeply humbling experience. This deflated ego has not really taken off at all , and I don't fully understand why . Does taking risks all the time do this to us ?

I have 44000 followers on Twitter. Why would you possibly even think I'm behind this facade? Do you think I have time to create false avatars to troll a troll? Life's too short mate...

I also find it ironic that people standing behind fake avatars are quick to accuse others of using fake avatars? I'm on Twitter as my namesake, and I'm here as my namesake.

What? What are you talking about?

There is so much to unpack in those two posts
Thank you both for your insightful comments. Instead of directly responding I would rather make a few general comments. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time reflecting on the challenges and risks associated with trading. When our own money is at stake, trading becomes a heightened experience. The psychological aspects of trading, such as managing stress, fear, and greed, are often overlooked but are crucial to success.

I've noticed that some members can be a bit strange and unprofessional, and you can't always predict how they'll react or respond. But, in my opinion, the words they use are a 'window to their soul'. It's important to pay attention to the way people communicate, as it can give you a glimpse into their thought processes and emotional state.

I also want to emphasise the importance of education in trading. Continuous learning and staying informed about market trends, trading strategies, and risk management can significantly improve our trading performance. It’s a game where knowledge truly is power.

Why would you possibly even think I'm behind this facade?

@Nick Radge, I value open and honest communication, so if there’s been a misunderstanding, let’s clear it up now by denying your involvement with these three Twitter members (@TheGreatPieEat1, @ppeakey007, and @Ppeaky01).

Do you think I have time to create false avatars to troll a troll?

Everyone has time when they are motivated.

Emotions can significantly influence our reactions
Upholding politeness, regardless of our emotional state, is a commendable virtue that fosters respect and understanding in our interactions. It’s a practice that can lead to more positive and productive conversations.

General comments about politeness
I believe that upholding politeness, regardless of our emotional state, is a valuable virtue. It's easy to get caught up in our emotions and react impulsively, but taking a step back and considering how our words and actions will affect others can lead to more positive and productive interactions.

I try to practice politeness in my own life, even when it's difficult
When I'm feeling stressed or frustrated, it can be tempting to lash out or react in kind, but I remind myself that it's important to maintain a level of respect and professionalism. By doing so, I'm able to communicate more effectively and build stronger relationships.

I think that politeness is particularly important in this thread
Politeness can help to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere. When we're polite and respectful to our members, we're more likely to build trust and foster collaboration, which can lead to better outcomes for everyone involved.

Overall
I believe that politeness is a valuable skill that can greatly benefit our personal and professional lives. By practising politeness, we can create a more positive and respectful environment, and build stronger relationships with those around us.

Feel free to pm me directly @Nick Radge if you want further feedback
Cold..in the way cold feet..I did not proceed with my initial desire to get more involved with your subscription membership, or meet you personally.
And I really hope (do not actually believe )you are doing that trolling😊
But some of your followers must ...
Why?
X is full of twisted frustrated minds and I do not even go there.
Hope this clears any misunderstanding.👍
Let's keep these posts polite from all sides, and enrich our interactions and knowledge.

I indeed believe I learn even more humility..past all the coding, maths, there is a human nature moreover specific to each nation which is probably the key factor in market behaviour.
My foreign culture and science focus is not the help I initially thought it was.
It is actually a serious handicap

@divs4ever, while humans possess a unique ability to discern fact from fiction, this skill becomes notably challenged when trading. In this context, the mind often struggles to differentiate between facts and opinions, elevating the complexity to a whole new level.

In today’s information age, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to discern the truth in what we read. With numerous sources presenting their own versions of facts and information. I have to agree with you, it can be quite a task to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Skate.
Professor, with a good wind blowing (not the capt's) throwing the wheat and chaff into the air and only the wheat will hit the deck.
The chaff, the mindless wonders will be scattered to the four corners.

@Chipp your statement “Smokers are not critical thinkers” is a generalisation. Critical thinking is not determined by a person’s habits, such as smoking, but rather by their ability to reason, analyse information, and make reasoned judgments. I'm a true believer that smoking is indeed a health concern, and it doesn't directly correlate with a person’s cognitive abilities or critical thinking skills.

Everyone, smoker or non-smoker, has the potential to be a critical thinker. It’s always essential to consider individuals on their own merits rather than making assumptions based on certain habits or behaviours. It's a gentle reminder that everyone who posts in this thread is free to share their unique perspectives.

Skate.
Bravo Professor, I stand to applaud you, obviously a gentleman and a scholar.
