Hi there,

If on a balance sheet it says under current assets:

Short term investments: $10,187,638

and under stock holders equity it says:

Accumulated other comprehensive loss ($9,855).

If the accumulated other comprehensive loss is reported at fair value, does it mean that the investment the company made is current negative by $9,855?

Or does it mean something else? Have I understood this correctly?

Many thanks

Accumulated other comprehensive loss is generally unrealised (paper) loss - is this right? So does that mean that the short term assets are listed at purchase value? You can always contact the company's investor relations office and ask them.
