Not surpriisng seeing how some of the ADF folks have been treated by the government and the media."Canberra we have a problem".
From the article:Australian soldiers to be offered $1,000 cash bonuses if they recruit someone else into the military
The Defence Department has outlined a new "careers referral" initiative that sets up "an incentive scheme to encourage members to refer people to join the ADF".www.abc.net.au
In short:
ADF members who encourage someone to join the military will receive $1,000 if the recruit completes 12 months of service.
Veterans' Affairs Minister Matt Keogh says the initiative is "one of many options" being explored by the federal government.
What's next?
The program will begin within a month and will be trialled for two years as Defence tries to grow the number of uniformed personnel.
Earlier this year, then-defence chief General Angus Campbell outlined the extent of the Australian military's chronic workforce crisis, confirming to parliament it was nearly 7 per cent under strength and was continuing to shrink.
Australia has been "captured" by short term thinkers and the self-interested.Politicians of all sides are to blame for this, they all need to get a grip on long term outcomes, not political expedience.
Bridget Mackenzie was one of the many coalition pollies who piled on Albo over the QANTAS upgrade hypocrisy.Although most of the discussion on freebies and upgrades has occurred within the Albo thread, plenty of people like Bridget Mckenzie, Jane Hume etc on the other side are scrambling to fix up their non disclosures.
Leak sums it up beautifully.
All the elites are in it.

All very easy, if you are found out, just correct the record.Bridget Mackenzie was one of the many coalition pollies who piled on Albo over the QANTAS upgrade hypocrisy.
But n the ultimate example of hypocrisy, it seems the charming Bridget has been caught out not declaring a bunch of her own free upgrades.
Politicians, even less trustworthythan used car salesmen.

Nah. We know what a generous and forgiving person Trump is.I hope like hell the rest of us don't get blackballed because of his diplomatic big mouth.
I think he went pro Trump at one point didn't he?So now that the US election appears to be done and dusted, what is the Australian Government going to do with our US ambassador, one K Rudd.
It might surprise you but he actually is quite forgiving. Vance called him a Nazi and he ended up as VP pick. Both Tulsi and RFKjnr have slagged him off and yet they find themselves in his inner circle now.Nah. We know what a generous and forgiving person Trump is.
And hot on the heels of the charming Bridget's frank admissions about snouts in the trough, we get a nice lecture by one of the Teals about transparency.Bridget Mackenzie was one of the many coalition pollies who piled on Albo over the QANTAS upgrade hypocrisy.

It seems that K Rudd has thought it prudent that he remove some rather scathing criticism of the incoming US president. So now that the US election appears to be done and dusted, what is the Australian Government going to do with our US ambassador, one K Rudd.
It is the same K Rudd who made the following observations:

Them and us. Two set of rules apparentlyAnd hot on the heels of the charming Bridget's frank admissions about snouts in the trough, we get a nice lecture by one of the Teals about transparency.

This is very laudable that she thinks that we should declare any upgrades.
Unfortunately, it never occurred to the charming former director of Nuerology at the RCH that in fact she should have declared her free Virgin Beyond Club membership, as it was not in her register of gifts.
But then, it seems that the entering of the doors of parliament immediately bestows a cloak of hypocrisy that covers the transparency meme completely.

Maybe if the politicians had to travel in cattle class, the seating might improve.Them and us. Two set of rules apparently
Extension. Maybe if they had to send their kids to public schools the schools would improve, or if they couldn't have private health insurance the hospitals would have to improve, etc....Maybe if the politicians had to travel in cattle class, the seating might improve.
Well Sir R isn't that what Oppositions do, oppose most things.Looks like the Opposition doesn't care about the housing crisis, it's planning to oppose cuts to foreign student numbers.
International students unlikely to be capped from start of next year as Labor fails to win Coalition support
The Coalition has announced it will oppose the government's bill to limit the number of international students able to enrol from next year, just weeks out from when the caps were meant to come into force.www.abc.net.au
Yes, but then they blame the government for not doing anything.Well Sir R isn't that what Oppositions do, oppose most things.
That's the Opposition for you.Yes, but then they blame the government for not doing anything.
