Well, the question now for us Aussies it what will Trump do to the Australian economy?

If he goes for an "America first" all out tariff and quota war without exemptions, then the outlook for us is bleak.

Will he use the prospect of tariffs to interfere in the Australian election to get the party of his choice elected here? I wouldn't put it past him.

Anyway you look at it, there are stormy seas ahead in my opinion.

I would think Trump wouldn't be interested in getting involved in local politics though some of his staff might.

It honestly would be disastrous to the US/Australian relationship if the USA tried to.

I hope you are right, but I don't think Trump is motivated by the long term.

Correct. Who would?

Apart from the odd spy station and military base, we are a pimple on the globalist bottom... basically an experiment to see what they can get away with.
And we should be happy with that but for the Dutton and Albanese who can not help following a big brother US, UK to ensure being involved in the next drama.
FFS....
