Hi Guys,
Maybe the problem is mine; because I am a 'grumpy old man'.
However, in recent times I have been continually incensed by my data supplier having breakdowns in its data delivery systems.
When you are invested heavily on a very short term basis in markets like this, it is nerve wracking in the extreme not to have your market data available.
The thing that aggravates most is that when you ring them they are never available, so on a recorded message they ask you to leave a message.
This leaves you entirely 'up in the air'. You don't know if the problem is yours or theirs and if it is theirs, do they know about it and how long it might be before it is fixed. Also, you're left hanging and not knowing when they might come back to you; it could take days.
As I alluded to previously, when you have large sums invested in tactically short term positions in markets like this, it is absolutely frightening.
I want to find a new data supplier but know not who to go to. Are there any forum members who could advise/recommend a data supplier who is reliable and has a communication system which allows immediate contact when things go wrong?
Please do not recommend Paritech; they will be forever excluded from my list.
Thanks.
