AMP - AMP Limited

One of my picks for the year tipping comp. Big rise during the month to $1.59 before settling down to the $1.40s. Still looking positive for the yearly comp.

One of my picks for the yearly comp which is going well this month up 7% for the month so far and over 60% for the year. Some positive moves for what used to be a blue chip share many years ago. Maybe a potential takeover happening??

One of my picks for the CY 24 stock tipping comp which is all but over, but AMP were up 80% for the calendar year so was a good pick.

Just shows a good brand name, holds more credibility, than a crap management IMO.
Don't forget when it was de mutualised, I think they were $24, some people probably still have them. Lol

AMP is starting to build some nice momentum. Positive update ->

  • +5.0% AMP (AMP) – Morgan Stanley flagged the company as their preferred play in the Australian wealth management sector, citing ~12x underlying FY25e PE and over 35% FY23-25e EPS growth as a compelling case

warning flagged on dividend probably enough ...

Chief executive Alexis George told The Australian Financial Review that “of course, shareholders want capital returns, I understand that, but it is our responsibility to re-orient the company towards growth and have at least some surplus capital there given the volatility of the environment we are in.”
AMP shares fell 14 per cent to $1.50, detracting from what its CEO described as “good trends and improving flows” in its core business of wealth management.

Are we there yet?
Is it a journey we want to go on?
