Sean K Trading

What are they, sunset podcasts? All I heard was a dog.

Speaking about a dog. I have to tell you that I finally sold the biggest DOG I've ever had. That's right, I finally sold 29M at 0.21.
Now I can enjoy the sunset coming up tonight in Sydney.

ps: If that gold hunt is on, I'll be there. Holding CDA currently, so I can afford a Gold Monster v2.

I've picked a top once in 10000 attempts.
That was not my question
How much have you lost by Selling Too Early?
This Easy to discover
Simply start a folio of all your SELLS and Call them all BUYS when you sold them

Only then will you see what I mean !

I might be able to do that for the past 4 years since I've been back full time on the quarter deck. Before that, my captain's log is overboard.

scored 4 cycle tops and 5 cycle bottoms , sounds great doesn't it

however details count .. 60% of those orders expired part-filled buying 4 ( or 10 ) fricking shares at full brokerage takes the bargain out of bottom picking ( not so bad part-filled sell orders , you get a second chance to offload lower , but the extra brokerage still bites )

these days i settle for a 'fair price '
if i miss the bottom by 3 or 5 cents at least the order is filled ( or not at all )

No sun set videos for Pete, that he can't see for some reason.

I was happy to take some profits a while ago on PMs which were a massive chunk of my holdings, which in retrospect could have just held, but am especially self-flagellating about the early PDI sell when I suspected a TO, but even better another group joining the register to create some competition. Just a prudent sell for me considering the stress of holding West African miners at the moment.

PMs and copper have had a good time the past few weeks.

There's no Sean K Trading going on at the moment. When I started this thread I was about to embark on a shorter term trading plan, but have gone the opposite way. Just biding my time till a decent opportunity pops up. But, no. Nada, so far.

Can someone send me a 10 bagger please?

We almost bought a campervan this week. A Sprinter conversion.

My bucket list item was actually a yacht, but my back injuries preclude it. Thanks Army. :(

Still, Happy the Moodle loves travelling and camping out in these things. I think I'd be buying it more for her than me.

@Sean K, ever thought of buying something outside resources?

Nope. I have a defined benefit superannuation pension for life that does that. Thanks to Army.

Actually, that makes me question why I have IOZ and VGS. Why? Hmmm. My current theory is it's a longer term passive income.

Plus, I don't understand anything except natural resources and that's only just enough to be dangerous.

can only tell the ten-baggers i have already bagged , picking the next one has always been hard for me ( sure i picked MQG to more than triple but that was one in more than 300 stabs at the market , the rest just fate and luck )

they seem to be like rabbits , just pop up where you least expect them and RUN

I can't remember the last 10 bagger. Was probably during the junior spec resource boom between 2005-07 just before the GFC. Iron ore and uranium minnows went nuts. It was when the likes of young trader were analysing and spruiking stocks with a $10m MC and then going to $100m in just a few days. It was crazy stuff. Not sure if I'll see that again unless gold goes to $10k in a few weeks. I suppose some lithium and rare earths did that a few years ago. Unfortunately, I was off grid during that time. I'm searching for the next germanium. Let me know if you find one, or a 1500s tulip.

well some wildcards to watch

ILU ( @qldfrog 's scruffiest mutt ) i see more pain in the short term ( until that rare earth play starts getting into production ) however if it slips into the $3-$4 range i would expect a take-over offer

IDX .. the market seems unimpressed on the synergies in the recent take-over ( i held CAJ to get my IDX shares ) but medical scans , they just seem to need more and more of them , again more pain first

TUA . a telco operating in Singapore ( and part of Malaysia ) at first you would think the train has departed , BUT if it starts making a profit ( and paying a div. ) as well as the growth potential in the rest of South-East Asia , this could goes nuts

i hold all three shares and currently have an 'average down ' order in the market for ILU

Added a few IOZ at ave 33.40 on this correction. There might be more to go but I'm sticking with the general plan to add to this on reasonable dips. Ave price now $28.68, up 16% overall.

Waiting for a proper correction in VGS to add, but I've been thinking that for months.

Still 68% cash, waiting for the four horseman.

While there might be some more to be squeezed out of this, I should use my brain and take some profits. But, breaking ATHs makes me think just technically there's no ceiling. So, I'm vexed. I'll probably hold it and then it's crash.

Such an evocative phrase. I guess as long as we only see them in the distance a trade is still on, somewhere.

gg

I recall before the GFC that I was telling some certain individuals to learn how to go short. But I didn't. Lost a lot of bark for not working that out myself. Still scared, thus the cash burning a hole in my pocket and physical metal on my desk. Maybe I should just buy the RIH, I'm sure the four horseman would like a place to wet their whistles.
