Will Costco work in Australia?

That's a shame. Always wondered about Costco prices as I've never been in one. Bit like the Australian Amazon site, you can get it cheaper off eBay.

My biggest tip if you plan on shopping at Costco is - "know your pricing or go with someone who is familiar with pricing otherwise you'll get ripped off". If you do fill up the car (l'm guessing most people do), then your membership will pay for itself relatively quickly. I've seen up to 20 cent/litre difference between Costco and local petrol stations. But still, shop smart. Just because it's a family pack or value pack, it isn't always cheaper.

Petrol was the reason i staid so long, but COSCO is 40km away so can not be my week servo..and overall could not justify the 50$ membership.
I liked that you can access us style items..from sauces to fried beans etc.. so bored with the Coles Woolies options..or lack of...

The opening hours in QLD are just stupid. 10 - 8:30. WTF. Should be 24/7. Not to mention that you can't buy booze in the same shop either, QLD is in the stone age sometimes (couple that with Daylight Saving...we are idiots in QLD....)

Last 2 times l've visited, l've done the hot food after check out. It's taken almost half an hour to get a hot dog. What a joke.

Fuel (98) was almost 20 cents a litre cheaper, so that is something

I've never been, but a couple of friends who are members, were really upbeat about it initially but now aren't so excited.
We don't really buy enough, to spend money on becoming a member of a shop, maybe we are missing out, but hey that's life.
