What sort of time interval should I be looking at for candlestick charts?

Candlestick theory supposedly works for all time frames but personally I see it best for short periods like daily. Probably works well for shorter periods but I don't trade intraday so can't say from personal experience.
Get a copy of Steven Nilsons book on Japanese Candlestick Theory.
