Victorian Politics

Lets be clear The Liberal Party is after Moira Deeming becasue they believe she directed/took part in a demonstration that she knew was being very actively supported by the neo nazis. That directly connects teh Liberal party to neo-nazis.
It took me a bit of time to find it, but your "connectivity" logic would also apply to the Labour Party.
from SBS News
Riot police used rubber bullets and pepper spray to disperse an angry mob protesting against mandatory vaccines for construction workers outside the Melbourne headquarters of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).
But the union says the protest was overtaken by "neo-Nazi's and right-wing extremists", rather than CFMEU members.
So would you accept that because the neo Nazis and right wing extremists hijacked the CFMEU, then the CFMEU, due to its strong links to the Labour Party, means the Labour is connected to these same Neo Nazis and right wing extremists?

I pity you Mexicans, that you have to listen to Dandrews. Listening to him is like listening to kindergarten kids argue about watermelon having more "red stuff" or water in it.
Dan insists it has more red stuff than water.

Corruption and cronyism.

You're welcome in NSW, well, some of you are...?

I snuck over the border a few weeks ago, was not challenged.
Have to wait and see how the election goes before I try it again.

I would only dare cross the border dressed in drag, to avoid being noticed.

So it's spread to Sydney now. Couple of pro trans idiots went to a Lebanese Christian church during some speeches (mark Latham was there). Fked around and found out.

I've noticed the Christians and Muslims are joining forces. Protesters will get a rude shock if they turn up to these events.

Feminists are being grouped with Nazis.

It's a weird world at the moment.

I bet 90% of Australians think all the Oz men of middle eastern origins are Muslims.

Spending on consultancies has rocketed 200 per cent since the Andrews government was elected, with government departments forking out almost $1 billion over eight years to a handful of private sector companies for advice, research and analysis.

The figures raise questions about a promise by the state government to pare back spending on consultancies – a pledge it repeated on Wednesday – prompting warnings the state bureaucracy is rapidly losing its capacity to undertake its own work.

million – up from $59 million in 2014-15 when the government was elected.
The figures were complied by the Community and Public Sector Union and analyse the annual reports of nine departments and Victoria Police. They show that four big firms – KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu – collectively snared $73.5 million in government work in 2021-22, accounting for almost 42 cents out of every $1 spent on consultancies.

KPMG was the biggest winner, by a huge margin, raking in $31.9 million through 59 separate engagements in 2021-22. PwC snared 32 deals worth $15.3 million, while Ernst & Young earned $13.9 million and Deloitte $12.5 million.
CPSU Victorian secretary Karen Batt said the trend represented a secret government workforce that had been imposed on taxpayers at a premium price, warning it was an “obscene spend favouring the top end of town”.
$500,000 a day on consultants.
Nice work if you can get it.
The take on this from the CPSU is that the Public sector needs far more people as the ones they have cannot do the all the work required, which is why the State Government has had to issue all these contracts to outsiders.
Of course another take may be that the public servants they already have are spending all their time doing unproductive things like endless zoom meetings. its not like there has been a hiring freeze.

A 17.6% rise in employment where now 1 in 10 people work for the government.
So how many more do they need?
Obviously a lot, as these figures relate to the year finishing in June 2021.
It may be a year or more before they can find someone to update the figures for the year ending in 2022.

The historical figures are even worse in that the last year they were updated was for 2017, only 6 years ago.

Victoria, pretty soon the slogan is going to become "The place Not to be".

tell us all about Victoria's projected debt being bigger than the rest of the Eastern Seaboard combined including our two headed friends (Tas & Man) south of mehico. ?
It's not just debt but also assets.

Queensland and Tasmania both own profit-making enterprises backed by real physical assets collectively worth many $ billions. So the debt's underwritten by a lot more than just future taxation revenue.

Versus Victoria where comparable things are in private ownership and thus aren't providing a revenue stream to the state which leaves taxation to fund debt servicing and repayment. :2twocents

And as a sideline keep your bloody clammy hands off our GST too.

The NATs have said if Pesutto is removed they will leave the Coalition.

They see Pesutto as a person who will stop the Libs going on about stupid fringe/identity issues and will instead concentrate on winning the next election.

We can't in Victoria continue to have a Liberal Party that can't get their act together.

A Lib MP said Deeming had ‘‘doggedly refused to put a sliver of light between herself’’ and Keen-Minshull – whose social media profile photo was a Barbie wearing a swastika armband – as well as Melbourne anti-trans activist Angela Jones. ‘‘Everyone knows that John sat down with [Deeming] after her maiden speech and made clear where the lines were,’’ said the MP, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal party matters. ‘‘If people are asking, ‘Am I in trouble because I once unwittingly shared a post?’, that’s overthinking it. We have a member ... who is even refusing to say [Jones and Keen-Minshull] have done some wrong things. That’s not normal, that’s crazy town, far-right fringe dwelling.’’

You can see why the NATS are threatening to leave coalition if Pesutto gets the shove.
I note someone in Newscorp has pulled the anti Pesutto commentry from the website. I think the Federal Libs might be having a word.

Pesutto will beat Andrews if given the chance.

Do you have anything to reference that to, or is it just rumour?

ABC Victoria.

While the Nationals don't have a vote in the expulsion ballot, they are firmly behind Mr Pesutto.

If Mr Pesutto were to lose his leadership over the crisis, the Nationals would seriously reconsider the Coalition agreement, senior sources have told the ABC.

John Pesutto is trying to rebuild the Victorian Liberals, but a 'seismic' moment could be his undoing - ABC News https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03...-test-moira-deeming-rally-expulsion/102142642

The quote is from the Age.
The fact that all the anti Pesutto stuff has been removed from Skynews is easily verified.

What load of old cobblers. These clowns are petrified of the wokists who will never vote for them anyway.

No vision, no platform, and a band of total cucks. They will never win trying to be Labor lite. Andrews will wipe the floor with Pesutto.

....and can we please have some evidence of the Barbie armband claim, I can't find any verification of that at all.

I found it straight away.
Must use a better search engine "google".

Well it seems to me that if true, it would be all over the Internet. I can't find anything on gooogle or any of the socials. Just trying to find the truth of the matter.

Is it.... could it be possible.... that he was lying?
