The USA government needs a distraction and a bit of Nationalism to keep the MAGAs from thinking too much.

They are busy setting it up now. I reckon within the next two weeks.

This is the US modus operandi
But what are the gains against Iran? Oil? So last decade, i doubt China will suffer from that

Israel have been saying they're going to bomb the nuclear facilities. Maybe the US have said, hang on, that might escalate a bit too much, let us do it for you.

that depends on how many air DEFENSE systems Russia and China has sold Iran ( they MIGHT have the latest stuff ) , after all they developed effective drones ( mnade dirt cheap ) and maybe even hyper-sonic missiles , but i suspect they will be higher speed super-sonic ones , they don't really need to circle the earth to get to their main enemies , so maybe three or four times the speed of sound

but does the US want to steal resources or stop the production of resources ( oil and gas )

I assume these talks are about the US demanding Iran stop all nuclear development, or else.

Not sure what the US could offer up as an incentive to stop all development or even wind back what they've already done. I doubt the Donald would offer up much after his criticism of Obama and Biden, if anything.

“And I think everybody agrees that doing a deal would be preferable,” Trump said. Trump said Saturday’s talks with Iran would be at a very high level but declined to elaborate. He also declined to say where the talks would take place but held out the possibility that a deal could be reached.

given the documented misuse of nuclear weapons ( strategic and tactical ) it should be IRAN demanding the US abandon all nuclear development

you know a couple of bombs on Japan , depleted uranium cores in Yugoslavia , Iraq , and Afghanistan against nations with no equivalent reply

talk about reflection .. i thought the Democrats had exclusivity on that

BTW fun fact the US toppled the Shah allowing the current Iranian regime to embed themselves into power , so this is another US consequence that they blame on others ( just like the Taliban in Afghanistan were US recruited and trained to fight the Soviets )
