Hey hows it going?

As my parents aren't far away from reaching their preservation age (55) i've recently found myself with an interest in super. They may be looking at retiring and i want to learn more about what their options are in regards to pensions - transition to retirement and account based pensions. I feel as if i know very little about finance/super and i would feel a lot more comfortable if i could read up on the topic.
What would be a good book to learn more about concessional, non-concessional contributions, the 10% working rule, the contribution limits and anything else i might want to learn about? I had a look at Australian master financial planning guide by macquarie but i thought that was a little too full on for somewhere to start. Any idea's?

The ATO site has a lot of info regarding superannuation contributions and eligiblity. Also, a lot of the fund managers (e.g. AMP, Colonial First State) and other super fund /industry fund managers have a lot of info about pensions/super. All you have to do is check out their PDSs for details regarding contributions, types of pension etc, and all are written in simple, easy to understand language.

As for books, I'm not sure, unless you have access to the Diploma of Financial Services folders, however, they're quite full-on and boring. :D

Otherwise, I'm sure if you had a generic type question, other members will be willing to help you out.
