The plot Dickens, wait, I really mean the Charles thickens.
The plot Dickens, wait, I really mean the Charles thickens.
Today's Chart update showing the journey of all entries so far this month, along with the Comp Ladder. Only 3 trading days to go.
New leader: @Garpal Gumnut PEN 48.35% is now in 1st Place and was last seen in the bookie ring trying to get his cash early .

I'm all for changing rules during a competition. It should be the average price using the end of each day's trading. More difficult to work out.I have never been one for counting unhatched chooks. There are some top stocks below myself, @noirua and @bux2000
CVN is another story, which I hold and which I hope waits until next week to start it's run up to $1.89. It is held in this month's comp by @peter2 , a member who takes no prisoners. I may be a feather duster yet and my CVN a winner in this month's comp.

Thanks @debtfree . Great work. Great charts to go with the good work.
I have a feeling in my waters that PEN is massively overpriced and is due an immediate correction. Time to top slice before the sudden collapse occurs on Thursday and Friday. BOE is showing signs of getting out of puff and a correction is overdue. However, there is a final opportunity to buy into BUX this Thursday and Friday before sudden outstanding news arrives on Copper Wolf. Thanks @debtfree . Great work. Great charts to go with the good work.
I reckon if PEN can punch in to that gap from July 23 it is all over red rover, and it will be near unassailable. I will sit back, having won the Comp, deprecating and saying such as "thank you", "I owe it to my Mum and Mrs O'Shea my first teacher" etc. etc.
However if it does not do so, It will retreat to fall away and follow a pattern of PEN's for over 20 years now. From memory it went way up many years ago being charted here by @tech/a , many of us on ASF followed and made a tiny profit around $0.60. Check it out on the PEN thread if you're interested in TA. There is no reason it will not repeat.
BUX similarly could bounce off support and possibly win, or fall away on sellers taking profits in a descending triangle. PDN looks a bit overextended. Not a tad. A bit.
ALA though looks the more likely to win, and if I were inclined to bet I'd put 1/2 my money portmanteau on PEN and 1/2 on ALA.
Let the dogs of fortune loose at just after 10 am on the morrow.

Oh, I forgot about @peter2 sitting on CVN, a takeover perhaps might catapult him to victory, and then there are all the other punters egged on by @Dona Ferentes from the back of the pack.
Unfortunately for most stocks we are heading in to a long weekend. The idiot cousins are in charge while the broker and fund principals are at the GC, Noosa, Sorrento and Byron. Strict trading limits will have been set with low volumes for the former while fun is had at the beach houses of the latter.I have a feeling in my waters that PEN is massively overpriced and is due an immediate correction. PENs down. Thanks @debtfree . Great work. Great charts to go with the good work.

Looking at BOE and PEN both had much higher high points during the day, especially BOE after the news. BUX finished at its highest up 0.5c.Unfortunately for most stocks we are heading in to a long weekend. BUX does seem to be bucking the trend though. I may have to crate the Charles Heidsieck down to you unopened on Queensland Rail. Good one @noirua .

So you are obviously a big fan of ignoring the obvious, rather than following the trend of the obvious, even when it is becoming obvious. Just joking GG.Unfortunately for the other three in the top four, I can only hope for a fall in their sp for a win on PEN.
Looking at that chart @debtfree I don't believe it has much more legs.
Then I'm not taking in to consideration the lunatics at HC who may chase it up a bit tomorrow.
This is the story of PEN. Always the bridesmaid.

my view, there's a hundred bucks lying there on the footpath. odds are 1 in 12 to win something.. Also the reason I don't normally get involved in the monthly comp,
not a matter of winning cash for me , more a way to test out new strategies without blowing up my own cashmy view, there's a hundred bucks lying there on the footpath. odds are 1 in 12 to win something.
And now the battle begins for the top of the ladder and more interestingly that most coveted of positions on the bottom rung.not a matter of winning cash for me , more a way to test out new strategies without blowing up my own cash
i would rather look dumb in the comp. than burn a K or two in the market
Appears that i am carrying the flag for the ex's this month. A rarity for me to be in this position.looks like i am stuck near the middle this month
but good luck tomorrow everyone
