Just a quick question -

say at close the SP = 70c

When someone bids pre-open ~ at 80c
and some sells at 63c
(I presume to get first preference)
and the indicative price = 76c

What price does the transaction go through as?

No, it is a figure where the buyers bids are offset against the sellers bids by the numbers of shares above and below a certain price. The numbers become more important than the price.
Check out CNP as an example this morning

Re: Pre Open Bidding

okays maybe I'm a bit slow...

the past SP was 75c.....

Say the Lowest sale price = 68c (preopen)
and the highest bid price = 85c (preopen)

15000 units - perfect match on both sides...

==" ?

At what price would the transaction go through then?

CNP example.......
Buyer
Number Quantity Price
1 5,500 0.550
1 5,500 0.530
Seller
Price Quantity Number
0.450 4,500 1
0.470 125,000 3

Would the transaction go through at 45c? or 55? if both the top transactions were even in terms of unit size

At 76.5

1 5,500 0.550
1 5,500 0.530
Seller
Price Quantity Number
0.450 4,500 1

Re: Pre Open Bidding

Thanks for the replies - a bit noob =="

I thought it might have been the average ~ I'll watch the transactions on open and see what happens too

Re: Pre Open Bidding

In the CNP example.
Both buys would be at 47c

In your example
I presume you mean HIGHEST bid and Highest offer.
If perfectly matched it would sell at the offer price regardless how high the bid price is.

Re: Pre Open Bidding
