Postmodernism, Marxism & PC, modern ideological poison

Be a man and admit you f***** up, and stop being so precious.
Sexism is no longer permitted!

People should know only too well that the "m" word is prohibited for usage by all hupersonity.

Every huperson, irrespective of whether they are people or wopeople, is compersonded to avoid making statepeoplets in which the "m" word features.

Those that cannot personage this, are clearly peopletally bereft and as such are a peopleace to all hupersonity.

Such people are to be promptly repersonded for the purpose of assesspeoplet of their peopletal state.

Personacling is depersonded for those diagnosed with a peopletal ailpeoplet, lest such peopleaces to hupersonity act to hupersonkind's detripeoplet.

Now do you think that you can personage that?

Or are you peopletally deficient?

They had too much oil. You were pi$$ing with the big boys with that much.
They literally killed their industry and chased off the talent. They all went to Columbia where they took it from something like 200 thousand barrels a day, to over a million.

I wonder if all the hot women got out of there as well. Sure it was voted as number 1 in the world.

From RT, but maybe more objective? I heard the same thing from other more independent sources too.

The current socialists had only ruled it since 1998? Within a few years they eradicate illiteracy? Provide free healthcare? They're now building affordable housing for the peasants.

Of course talent are moving out. Trade sanctions mean the country can't access the international market for any fund, cant make transactions, can't pay for anything. Those who could would want to move abroad so they can work, earn some money and maybe send it back home.

Anyway, shouldn't we learn by now to be really, really suspicious when a superpower takes a keen interest in a poor country that happen to have lots of oil?

Not sure why you're complaining when it mean you could use more syllables.

But content aside, that was quite clever though.

Rt is Kremlin controlled.

A perfect example of a half-truth, biased news segment.

Starts off with Chavez being democratically elected. Loving the people, using the state's revenue to build social infrastructure like schools, scholarships, health clinics.

Then oil prices goes from $7, $9 to over $100.

The dude then decided to buy a foreign bank from Spain, nationalise this and that, borrow money like there's no tomorrow to help feed and housed the plebs.

Didn't even bothered to set up a sovereign wealth fund where billions can be stashed away so Wall St can managed it proper.

No wonder the guy got to go.

I was shocked no one asked Tisme which gender pronoun he preferred to be called prior.

I could spend all the country's wealth on poor people too. Yay I'm a hero till the money runs out.

Look where they are now . Its because of his idiot choices. Doesn't matter if you kill em with kindness or greed - they still end up dead. If you are running a country, then you don't run it like that idiot.
Nothing I said was a half truth.

They didn't run out of money because of those "over spending". The country's economy didn't collapsed because of economic mismanagement.

Even I know the recent "oil collapse" was a strategic move to bankrupt Venezuela and Russia. Not saying that that's the only reason, but it was a major part of the plan. And it seem to be working... Venezuelans are eating out of the tip now. Hospitals are out of medicines. The price people have to pay for "real" democracy I supposed.

Those who love democracy might consider spending the state treasuries on the people, as opposed to giving them away to the uber rich and their corporations, a good thing.

Spending that commonwealth on school, scholarship, education, housing for the poor, healthcare... Those are things a gov't ought to be spending the cash on.

Some might even consider that an proper investment for the future.

Good health and education for the masses. That or corporate tax cuts and foreign ownership or national assets I guess.

Apparently Venezuela never have so much social equality until 1998. All the foreign exploitation, corporate takeovers... those were the good old days.

Really.....
The country was deep in debt from overspending.
No money saved.
No thought out economic plan.
Ends up in a hole.

We can blame conspiracies all we like. It was terrible management. And terrible propaganda. "Chavismo" poisoned a lot of minds as to what was realistically achievable.

Australia has the dole, free schools, free medical to a degree, pension, public housing. Exactly how was venezuela better?

There's also conspiracy theories saying the oil crash was to shakedown canada and US shale oil extraction. It was only viable above a certain price.

It's not a conspiracy that the US attempted a coup on Chavez in 2002, some 4 years after his election.

Not a conspiracy now that the US, under Obama and now Trump, talks openly about overthrowing the new, democratically elected, leader of the place.

No conspiracy that economic sanctions have been place on the country since the failed coup attempt.

How many country would earn anything if the literal world economy is not permitted to trade with it. Russia doesn't need Venezuelan oil, the Chinese aren't going to play nice and pay a fair market price either.

By the look of it, Venezuela was a typical S/American former colony. One the US and its corporations properly exploited. That is until 1998. Not that long ago.

Australia is a junior partner. So we're only slightly losing our natural resources. That and we're too White to be sanctioned. Not to mention we take order pretty well too :D

Seriously, it's total neo-con bs that spending on such thing as social programs, public housing, free education... are bad for the economy.

Look at the US, Australia, the Western countries. During what decade were its economy the strongest, most prosperous? Measured on both the GDP and per capita basis.

It's post-WWII. Where corporate taxes were high; gov't invests massively in infrastructure; education were free; costs of living low.

Such things stimulate the economy, create jobs, build wealth for both the plebs and the masters.

Compare that to the US since the 1970s where neoCon took over and all those New Deal, egalitarian policies got properly dismantled.

Some 46% of Americans today cannot afford a $500 emergency. Some 25% have to work at least two jobs to make ends meet. The top 1% of the 1% owns about 25% of the country's wealth.

Among the main causes of the decline of a civilisation is the belief that it is invincible and awesome because it just is. Because its aristocrats have all that wealth and riches; its military is all over the place kicking azz every day.

But yea, stocks are doing well and the rich are raking it in like there's no tomorrow. We all get to buy million dollar homes, or pay rent through to nose for a place; we all get to hate new arrivals who can barely speak the language or catch public transport... but they're here to take our jobs.

Not something you'd want to see.

It has collapsed because ~95% national income was oil exports and the Chavez govt socialised consumer products by price capping them. It also interfered with the currency xchange which led to money printing, leading to hyper inflation.

Very poor economic and social management.

Balance is needed in economic systems.
They could have followed norways model, but na lets go with Cuba.

They blew up because of bad management. Good intentions or not.

Chavez took them out of a banana republic in 1998. He soon embark on social programmes by sharing the wealth.

In him buying out and nationalising certain industry, that's also diversifying the state revenue streams. Would prevent the price gouging, I mean, market efficiency, of entrepreneurs.

Come on now, we all know why the US takes great interest in bringing (back) democracy to Venezuela.

You heard about the current Saudi Crown Prince and his $200M+ purchase of some French castle right? Or his super yacht, private jets, super cars, more castles and retreats. And that's just one prince among loads of royalty in that desert.

Administrators like that aren't exactly good managers of the state coffer.

Even the US and other critics can't point to a single castle or luxurious yacht Maduro or Chavez plashes around in.

But sure, they mismanage the economy... how? By spending money on the poor. Good intention but you know you can't do that. And to help make things better, we're going to put embargo and sanctions on the place until people either rises up or die starving.

Venezuela have, from memory, the world's largest reserves of oil. And it's not sharing it with foreign oil corporations. That alone should tell you all you need to know about its current difficulties with the world's foremost liberator.

I think Norway just made room for a couple of US military bases on its soil. Well, alright, "NATO" bases, with US troops. To stop another Russian invasion.

Cuba have done pretty well despite US sanctions and attempted coup since the Godfather PartII. I think they, somehow, manage to provide universal healthcare to all Cubans, have among the world's highest literacy rate, train enough doctors and medical staff that they are able to send them off to Haiti and other S/American countries after natural disasters.

The only other countries that could, and would, do that were those weak socialist European countries and their Medicin san Frontier and the likes.

I think you could judge how well the Cubans tolerate/like their condition, gov't, by the fact that hardly any of them would get on a boat and crosses into Florida. The US would automatically welcome them, even today under Trump I'm sure, the moment they escape the commies.

It wasn't the sanctions that put the country under.

Chavez was worth how much I wonder(real figure, not media speculation)?
His daughter or friends that got first dibs on state contracts.

Whats the saying again.... "There is nothing more capitalist than a socialist in control".

Why was Lucia Rodriguez studying in Sydney and not Cuba?

As for Cuba well I like their capital Miami the best.

I'm not here to defend Chavez or any political leaders. I'm sure Chavez is not a complete saint. But who knows, can't judge until studying a few books and bios aside from those written in Forbes, Fox/Murdoch and the western free press.

But come on, $1B net worth for a dictator? That doesn't go very far you know. Maybe one yacht, a couple of castles in Europe, some limo and a jet. That's it.

Sydney's unis aren't exactly the Harvard, Oxford of the world right?

Just read on Reuters today that Venezuela is planning to import oil to refine. It has the world's largest oil reserves but for some reason can't find a few bolts and screws to dig it out of the ground.

You'd think they could at least spend some of the cash on those essentials.

I mean, just look at Saudi Arabia. The Royals spends like, like Middle Eastern sheikhs on themselves... and they still managed to work with allies bombing the crap out of Yemen, taking on Syria and Iran (soon).

I remember watching an interview with Chomsky a while back where he said he spoke with Chavez a couple of times. The guy told Chomsky that soon after he won the first term, the US was very friendly towards him. Offering all kind of stuff.

Then he have to go and nationalised the oil companies. Turning himself into the new Hitler in the process.

I thought the US was oil self sufficient due to shale oil discoveries.

$1billion figure is speculation or possible western propaganda. We don't know his true net worth. Might have practiced what he preached. There was a twitter page dedicated to showing the ruling party living it up. But it was banned.

Systems need balance, where one side can't get too much power. Otherwise it skews.

I want better access to education in this country. It's a pain in the arse to be trained in new fields without having to jump through hoops. There is also value in it. I think our medical system is a bit of a joke.
You don’t need to be all socialist, or all capitalist.

Cuba is probably one of the only places where your tour guide was a doctor, or professor. Your kids are all wards of the state as well.

Chavez nationalised, didn't compensate, then ran it into the ground. An example is that the steel company had about 5000 workers before and 4.5 million ton output. And 22000 workers with a
200, 000 ton output after it was nationalised and run down.
So yeah socialists running things suck. People still end up eating garbage.
