By no means is this a new thing, but I wonder if the younger generations find themselves more welded to the idea of exclusive coupling, because the threat social media presents.

No other generation has had its lives scrutinised by the masses in such a far reaching way. They have been groomed into being ambivalent drones, they are self gratifying, very much into social groups, but they are sharp.

What happens when they discover coupling and they get jealously possessive by the threat of the same social media that shaped them: ....perhaps this

Wow! There's just so much that is wrong in that video you'd have to do a second take because the guy is so Canadian and polite about it.

First, you don't criticise other people for playing the victim card in a video where you claim you and your race/religion/culture are the victim. That's just wrong.

Second... facts, and fiction... where do you begin...

Nobody, with maybe a few Jihadist leaders being the exception, blame "Western culture" for the destruction its imperialism brought on the world.

Yea, I know, the "its" there sound like I'm blaming Westerners/White Christians. But trust me, nobody, not even the victims of imperialism themselves, blame or hate Westerners or Western culture for the imperialists destruction. They blame imperialism.

Imperialism can be those by the Chinese, the Indians, the Persians, the Romans, the Greeks... the Martians... you name it. They're all the same to their victims.

Just as a Westerner protesting wars for empire is not a self-hating Whitey; a coloured folks criticising Western imperialism is not having it against the Western people, just imperialism.

That and it so happen that over the past 500 years, up to today, Western imperialism have been visited upon all corners of the world. So it might seem that criticism of imperialism is the same as criticism of Western civilisation... that's just coincidental.

Further, if you're a White person who takes offence at being criticised, chances are you're not an imperialist. You're too sensitive for that kind of work.

Under capitalists thinking, all the world's major cities are seeing unprecedented boom in housing construction. But as David Harvey pointed out, those housings are for investors, not for people to live in.

So they're by and large sitting empty or are extracting tremendous amount of (other) people's income just to have shelter. Those who can't afford the price or the rent goes homeless. Homelessness is rising, all over the world.

And just in case Peterson reckon capitalists want to house and feed people... bloody Amazon and Starbucks just yesterday managed to lobbied the Seattle Council into revoking a bill that would raise $45M over 5 years from companies with revenue over $20M a year.

How much is the new tax on those large companies? 12 cent per hour per employee.

What was the intended use of fund? To build affordable housing for the city's homeless. To expand homeless shelters across the city.

So much for lifting people out of poverty. But ey, Jeff Bezos of Amazon is seeking advise on how to save humanity. Seriously. What a prick.

But oh, the dignity of hard work, earn your keep...

Thanks to unregulated capitalism, some 25% of American workers works 2 or more jobs. And are barely making ends meet. Some 10% of Japanese workers now works 2 full time jobs to put food on the table.

Those who are without work; made redundant? Tough titties.

I guess it's just a coincidence that suicide in the US had risen some 25% over the past two decades - with some 157 American committing suicide per day; its opiod addiction has hit "we're screwed" level.

Guess which country set a coup on him? Guess which country put sanctions on the country after the people literally break down the prison to free him?

Endless wars, genocide, greed, lies, propaganda... those aren't things to be proud of. Plus, they're not things that only the White race could do, or have done.

I mean, this guy is pointing to horrible crap we all know Western civilisations have taken part in. Then either bs his way to justifying it; or just shrugs and goes, soo... that's who we are, and we're proud of who we are.

That'd be like Germans pointing to Hitler and his Nazi with pride. There's that other German with anger issue who also wrote incredible pieces of music.

Venezuela did not go down because of sanctions. They had mental retards leading the country. Do a brief catch up on history of how they blew up their oil sector, borrowed themselves into oblivion and chased away all the talent.
Plus all the other corrupt goings on.

I reckon I know enough about it but yea, will take another look, just to make sure all the recent talks by the US, from VP Pence to UN peacemaker Nikki Haley to the Donald, CIA Pompaeo, Sec of State Pompi, his predessor... all publicly calling for a coup... just to make sure they didn't really mean it. :D

Fun facts... I heard a Chomsky lecture from the 90s where he passingly said that the US will take out Venezuela "any day now". Too much oil, he said. Right in the US backyard, he said.

They had too much oil. You were pi$$ing with the big boys with that much.
They literally killed their industry and chased off the talent. They all went to Columbia where they took it from something like 200 thousand barrels a day, to over a million.

I wonder if all the hot women got out of there as well. Sure it was voted as number 1 in the world.
