Mr. Trump (The Donald) To Win in 2024

Mr. Biden has withdrawn. I do hope somebody has told him and that he understands.

Mr. Trump and Mr. Vance look set for 12 years in power between them.

My prediction... before the shooting

A good prediction so far Rock @frugal.rock

It is very difficult for me to choose which President would be better, Trump or Harris. I assume Harris will be the Democrat candidate. Then again it is difficult to define "better", so I'll just comment on two elements, better for America and better for Australia.

I am instinctively against the destruction of the US ethos of work and self sufficiency and would hate to see it go the way of the UK and Australia in having a reasonable percentage of people dependent on welfare with an elitist class controlling thought, the universities and discourse beholden to a victim/critical inter-sectional DEI class attempting to impose equality of outcomes on the population while destroying the American way of life.

On the other hand I am with JD Vance in believing that Trump is an idiot and were the latter to understand the meaning of the word, a fascist. His age and the tradition recently, though not a law, that Presidents do not serve more than 2 terms should protect the body politic and Trump's idiot followers from a totalitarian outcome were he to be elected. Then again somebody may have another go at more thoroughly cleaning out the Donald's ear wax. JD Vance would be difficult for me not to get mu vote for POTUS.

As for Australia, the globalism of the Democrats would protect Australia both militarily and economically from the worst of Trump and JD Vance. The Republican candidates would wreak havoc on World Trade and the fight against China and Russia, and fight it is.

Having written it all down I would be an undecided voter and would decide on the day. Harris' performance over the next 16 weeks may push her from being a possibility for my vote to being a sure thing for my vote. Then again, thankfully I am Australian and cannot legally vote in US elections.

What are your thoughts, a Harris through and through or more open minded in voting for the more dangerous of the possibilities?

I like the idea of Trump making all the wokies hit therapy. He would probably be good for the US. The whole system needs a flush.

However I don't want that retard running around Asia with their dirty yank politics ruining our neck of the woods. The democrats seem content with stinking up Europe and I'm fine with them containing their spooks to that part of the world.
I'm happy enough to trade with China and others in the region.

The US is thankfully a long way from here.

I am not a supporter of the US Democrats but also less so the US Republicans, I think the Republicans have more nut cases and grifters if that's possible.

For Australia Harris is the lower risk and for the US also a lower risk for maintaining some semblance of order regarding the US institutions of law and governance (US style). I would assume similar to the last 4 years.

Trump on the other hand maybe OK for Australia depending on the damage he does to international trade, note Biden is spending big time to shore up US defense supplier's outside of China massive opportunities for Australian mining, rare earths and graphite etc. I know businesses from here having access to the highest levels of government unsure if that would continue under Trump.
Trump has made clear he will undermine US institutions of law and governance (cleaning out the swamp repeat that lie enough and the sheep believe you) all for his own benefit so what the risks are who knows.

Just wondering, exactly what special considerations, or dispensations has the Biden administration given Albos Government?
Also why would Trump change them, appart from the Labor politicians slagging off at him last time he was in office?
I see Kev has put his tail between his legs and with great difficulty managed to button his lip.Lol
If Trump gets in and if a lot of the global issues get sorted, I suppose it will be because Joe set it all up before he retired, nothing much changes.

I guess this blows the idea that the Trump assassination attempt was staged.

From the article:

Washington: Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said her agency failed in its mission to protect former president Donald Trump, as lawmakers of both major political parties demanded her resignation over security failures that allowed a gunman to scale a roof and open fire at a campaign rally.

During a highly contentious congressional hearing, Cheatle was berated for hours by Republicans and Democrats, repeatedly angering representatives by evading questions about the investigation during the first hearing over the July 13 assassination attempt

Cheatle acknowledged that the Secret Service was told about a suspicious person two to five times before the shooting at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. She also revealed that the roof from which Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire had been identified as a potential vulnerability days before the rally. Cheatle said she apologised to Trump in a phone call after the assassination attempt.

Yet Cheatle remained defiant that she was the “right person” to lead the Secret Service, even as she said she takes full responsibility for the security lapses. When Republican Rep. Nancy Mace suggested Cheatle begin drafting her resignation letter from the hearing room, Cheatle responded: “No, thank you.”
Cheatle acknowledged that Crooks had been seen by local law enforcement before the shooting with a rangefinder, a small device resembling binoculars that hunters use to measure distance from a target.

She said the Secret Service would never have taken Trump onto the stage if it had known there was an “actual threat”. Local law enforcement took a photo of Crooks and shared it after seeing him acting suspiciously, but he wasn’t deemed to be a “threat” until seconds before he opened fire, she said.
“An individual with a backpack is not a threat,” Cheatle said. “An individual with a rangefinder is not a threat.”

Classic case of head stuck firmly in the sand. See no evil, hear no evil.
Evidently, she is the only person who thinks that her decision making is the right course.

One congessman brought out that the SS dedicated four times the assets to a contemporaneous Jill function attended by 400 at a casino compared to the assets protecting Trump at the rally.

The casino already had its own security staff and metal detection. Trump was at an open air event of thousands and Trump obviously was much more of a hot target, including being the subject of explicit assassination threats from Iran. Remembering the wide open Southern border where foreign agents can cross.

Jill and Cheatle know each other and there's been the suggestion that Jill got Cheatle the director's gig.

It's also said by a congressman that the SS has the lowest employee satisfaction rating of all the federal government agencies and heaps have been leaving (probably the guys, lol)

Well it's Kamela as Dem nominee for President. She has sown up the overwhelming majority of candidates for the upcoming Dem convention. To date I havn't seen anyone actually saying no.

What will she run on ? Nice summary here. Not just anti trump either.

"A conniving imbecile" - James Woods
She screwed, smooged and compromised her way right up the ladder.
It gives Obama and his hard left cronies a chance of a fourth term.

The latest figures from the Associated Press show Harris with more than 2,500 delegates, well over the 1,976 needed to win a vote in the coming weeks.

Delegates could still, technically, change their minds but nobody else received any votes in the AP survey and only 54 delegates said they were undecided.

Ever seen Veep ? The political satire comedy show starring Julia Lewis-Dreyfus ? Brilliantly funny but these days essentially a documentary .

Check out this clip that is doing the rounds.

That is so cruel.
Accurate, but cruel.

Vast majority of registered Democrats approve of Biden withdrawing from presidential race - poll

A new CBS News/YouGov poll found that 83% of Democratic registered voters surveyed approved of the US president, Joe Biden, withdrawing from the race while just 17% disapproved.

Four in ten registered Democrats said Biden exiting makes them more motivated to vote now he is out of the race, with 79% thinking the party should nominate the US vice president, Kamala Harris, as a replacement, according to the poll.

45% of those surveyed believe the party’s chances of beating Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, in November have improved since Biden’s announcement, though 10% say the electoral prospects have got worse for the Democrats, while 28% say it depends on who the nominee is and 17% say a change in candidate won’t make a difference.

Democratic voters have long had doubts about Biden’s reelection bid. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted in January, while the party’s nomination contest was still under way, 49% of Democrats said the 81-year-old should not run again in 2024.

Well they did it. Found the only person more retarded than Biden. Ticks the DEI check boxes and keeps Bidens same failure team.

It's funny how the mega rich in the U.S seem to be Democrat voters and the Elites here are labor voters, must be something to do with being rich enough to have an influence.

Then you have the rusted on, who believe anything they are told and vote accordingly. :xyxthumbs

It sounds like it could be an interesting election, bad media coverage Vs big money. 🥳
