I see FXR, my stock choice is now up to $0.014 - $0.015 making it a 50% gain on the $0.01 when this months competition was opened. Although it dipped to $0.008 before 28 February 2014, I consider that it has been excluded on a technicality. With a 50% gain (on the $0.01) I feel it should be reinstated in the competition. After all Pixel's choice was included after the closing time. :)

Hi Nulla, while I understand that you are disappointed that your stock was not included in this month's competition I feel it's important that I maintain my policy of sticking to the rules as written, simply because once I make an exception for one person, it is not unreasonable for others to ask me to do the same for them. As I'm sure you can understand, that's a can of worms that I would prefer not to open.

It's true that Pixel's entry was included after midnight on the last day of entries, but the rules state that entries can continue to be submitted until the entry thread is closed.

I do empathise with your situation given that your stock is doing well this month, but now that it's over $0.01 it is eligible to be entered in the April competition and may continue to outperform next month. :)

The Crimean situation impacting on the price of gold will probably have petered out by then, making an entry in next months competition too late. Any gains from that point would likely be from a higher starting point and therefore achieve a lower percentage gain.:(

Thanks for your understand Nulla. :)

I hope you had some real money on it, even if it couldn't be entered in this month's competition.

Congratulations to bathuu, Serpentis and Anmar for taking out the top three places in the March 2014 stock tipping competition!

Bathuu finished the month with an impressive 53.12% return with ADO. In second place was Serpentis, whose entry VXL returned a solid 40%. Back in third place was Anmar with CTP, which finished March with a 25% price increase.

So_Cynical's entry AVA underwent a 3:1 share consolidation during March and the entry price has been adjusted as a result. I am not sure if it is still trading as AVA. Perhaps someone could post and let me know what has happened to it?

Can bathuu, Serpentis and Anmar please contact me via PM regarding their prizes.

Best of luck to all in the April competition! :)

Here are the final results for March:

Hi Joe,
AVA has been suspended since March 14th and not traded since.
The current consolidated version runs under the code AVADA with a Last Traded quote of 33.002c
Hope this helps.

Pixel, thank you for the update. Much appreciated! :)

Wow. So VXL was beating ADO on close of 30th of Mar. Then VXL decided to drop 13% on 31st Mar, which put ADO ahead. Then ADO dropped over 10% the next day, which put VXL back on top. I can't believe my luck :banghead:

Oh well, I invested real money in both ADO and VXL in Feb, so I guess I've won either way :D

I note that my choice for the March Stock Tipping Competition FXR, which was disqualified on a "dubious" technicality :))), finished the month up over 90%. Hmmm....
