I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about an important change to the stock tipping competition beginning from the July competition.

In the past I have asked people to give a reason in the entry thread explaining why they have chosen that particular stock for the competition. It was never mandatory to do so, but it was always nice to see people's rationale for choosing their competition entry.

Unfortunately, we have seen a decline in posts in stock threads in recent times, and this is something that I'd really like to try and change. So I have decided to include a new rule that those entering the competition must post in the thread of the stock they select for the competition before the deadline for entries.

The post doesn't have to provide the reasons that you are selecting the stock for the competition, it can be as simple as posting a chart and some TA, or a comment updating others on recent company news or announcements, or just a quick summary explaining why you are bullish on it. The only requirement is that it be meaningful/useful content.

My intention in introducing this new rule is to get more posts in stock threads, not to cause anyone any inconvenience so I hope everyone will see it in that light and lend a hand to help out ASF. :)

If anyone has any comments or questions about the new rule, please let me know in this thread.

Gee Whizz... now I'm going to have to tip a stock that I actually know something about. LOL

AAA - a potential 10 bagger... trust me :D

You don't necessarily have to know something about it if you want to take a TA approach. If you're stuck for something profound to say, just post a chart and give us an interpretation.

I think the only ones who may have some difficulty are those who choose the same stock every month for fundamental reasons. They'll just have to get used to giving us a monthly company update. :D

Missed it as well, darn...and that's after egging @Joe Blow on to have a crack. Good luck with IRC Joe...I thought those chat rooms died out in the age of Facebook etc

(some of the young ones are thinking, 'What the...?')
