Good morning everyone and welcome to the July 2019 stock tipping competition! :)

This month's competition is proudly sponsored by FP Markets.

FP Markets is an Australian owned and ASIC regulated broker with over 12 years experience and 35 industry awards including Highest Overall Client Satisfaction 5 years running. They facilitate trading in equities, indices, commodities, futures, Forex and Bitcoin via their MetaTrader4 platform.

FP Markets offer 10,000+ equities, indices and commodities across all major international markets. All equity CFDs are DMA priced and 100% hedged. FP Markets are not a market maker so their interests are aligned with that of their clients. You can go long on everything listed on the ASX and international markets and they have the widest short offering of any Australian broker.

This month there were four entrants who forgot to post in the thread of their stock tip in accordance with the competition rules: @Klogg, @SilverRanger, @basilio and @adrianr. I will give those four entrants another 24 hours to post in the thread of their competition entry. If they choose to do so then I will add them to the July competition. :)

Could all qualifying entrants please check their entries and entry price and report any errors to me in this thread.

Keep track of the results here: ASF Stock Competition Leaderboard

Feel free to discuss the competition in this thread as the month progresses.

I have followed up on TLG. Given it has "fallen off a cliff" today :( - why did I bother ?

Too late for the party? AVZ was my choice because I felt there will be more actions to follow after their recent mine ownership change.

The new rule that's been in effect for a while now is that you have to post an update or some thoughts in the thread of your entry. I'll add you to the July competition if you can post in the AVZ thread.

Another week gone ...... The journey of entries so far this month below.
@jbocker still racing away, I think he needs to come back in price for us to catch him. Still, there is 1.5 weeks left so anything can happen as we know. A few have started their run today but that's a big lead.
Sector Chart so far this month as well down below. All the best everyone.

Oooorrr Ann, you poooooor thingo or whatever.

Would love to help but just cannot get my head around your system.

 Do we need a system for this comp? I'd be a lot better if I'd select something with a pulse. :hungover:

@explod I think you've had a pretty good week with gold booming like it is. I also hope your health is golden too. All the best.

The end of another week and only 3 days of trading left to go.
Below is the movements of all entries so far this month.
Very good of you all to spread out a little this month to make it a little easier to see our entries.

@jbocker & @noirua have come back a little giving us the chance to catch up to them, or maybe they're just teasing us.
@myrtie100 has taken this opportunity to grab 2nd spot today, can 1ST be 1st this month. I know there was a little joke about it but it just might happen. ;)
I've included the Sector Graph for those interested further down, it shows the movement of sectors so far this month.
Have a good weekend all and all the best for next week.

Looks like this site now has live updates during the day for our share tips!

Last day tomorrow - Plenty of moves today, some up and some down. I don't think tomorrow will be any different.

It's bit like option trading. Besides worrying about direction there is a time element also. And yes, I have traded options ......bit of a losing game really, unless you are making the market. Brings back memories both good and bad
