This month there were five entrants who forgot to post in the thread of their stock tip in accordance with the competition rules: @explod, @Jbolin, @how02, @Terence McGee, and @greasy_pancakes. I will give those entrants another 48 hours to post in the thread of their competition entry. If they chooses to do so then I will add them to the January competition.

Could all qualifying entrants please check their entry and entry price and report any errors to me in this thread.

Keep track of the results here: ASF Stock Competition Leaderboard

Feel free to discuss the competition in this thread as the month progresses.

Lol ..... I thought to myself ... "Where's Barney"

"Barney" went to sleep at the wheel ... again! ?

If KP2 happens to win this month, a couple of quick uppercuts may be in order, lol

End of the 1st Week of the January Monthly Tipping Competition for 2021.

First of all, welcome to some new entries into the comp that I haven't recorded over the last 2 years. @Ada95 - @ragchewer - @Balder - @greasy_pancakes - @Muchado - @kinkypenguin and even last month's new entries @michael325 and @hhka who won with a whopping 300% return (1st go ?)

A great contest between the first 4, @Faramir (55.17%) regaining the lead from @Garpal Gumnut (50%) with @brerwallabi (46.38%) snatching 3rd place from @access (40%). Others are getting ready to make a move. :cautious:

** I notice some of our tipsters are having some very early success in the 2021 Full Year Comp @Faramir CXO 55% - @brerwallabi & @Garpal Gumnut VUL 46%) - @access EXR 40% - @Muchado SOR 67.50% & ANP 55.85%

Visual journey of all entries below for your viewing. Good luck all and have a nice weekend. :)

I see @finicky on MBK stealthily climbing the ladder.... it's going to be an interesting month on that count.
Despite current leaders positions, I see many other likely competition contenders spread through the pack.
Theres good chances of them getting up over the next 2 weeks, all depends on timing.

Good luck all, especially to the new entrants/ ASF members.

Cheers.

End of the 2nd full week in the January 2021 Monthly Tipping Comp.

There has been some good movement in some of the stocks today as well as this week but @brerwallabi VUL has taken a commanding lead at this stage, up 133% for 1st spot. :xyxthumbs
But, here comes @hhka into 2nd spot up 68% and I'm not forgetting the flogging we got last month from this tipster. ?
@Garpal Gumnut in a tight bar room brawl has held onto 3rd spot up 56% from @access up 52% and @Faramir next, up 48%. :xyxthumbs
As we can see there is some more tipsters down below starting their moves, ready for the second half of the comp.

Today's movers: @brerwallabi up 29.06% - @finicky up 25% - @explod up 21.74% - @michael325 up 18.18%

This Week's movers:
@brerwallabi up 59.41% - @hhka up 45.45% - @michael325 up 21.88% - @Muchado up 15%.

Visual journey of all entries below. Enjoy your weekend everyone. :)

@brerwallabi's VUL continues to climb upwards (up 258%), it was up over 400% at one stage today. Outstanding selection and deserve a mid week chart. :xyxthumbs

It’s very tempting to sell, my decision to buy VUL was made early December and I entered at $2.10.
I wanted some exposure to a lithium stock as I was quite convinced that lithium and lithium stocks would have a growth year. I had made a short list of lithium stocks in mid November and after quite a bit of deliberation I chose Vulcan. If I had purchased Vulcan when I first looked at it my entry price would have been 30 to 40 cents lower.
Vulcan was to be if all went well a long term hold with a hope it might in a few years became a heavyweight player in the lithium supply market, the fact it was green too was an appeal I thought not only to me but down the track I saw it attracting adequate funding from those who would want the association.
I will continue to hold, the guys who have really done well are those that got in early last year when it was around the 20 to 30cents I applaud you.

@brerwallabi still leads with 256% but a great move today by @Garpal Gumnut (51.85%) pushed AGY's monthly returns up to 156% with @Faramir grabbing 3rd (up 33% today) to have 97% for the month so far. :xyxthumbs

Only twice in the last 3 years has the top 3 places in a Monthly Comp achieved returns of 100% or higher (July 2018 and July 2020), looks like another one coming up.

Believe it or not @Garpal Gumnut was involved in both of them, so looks like a repeat here. Well done GG.

Thanks @debtfree

My apologies for my absence from the threads. I’ve been doing some court mandated community service picking up rubbish with a spear from the highways to extinguish unpaid fines for not wearing a bicycle helmet.

Vul has been a runner certainly but Agy seems to have gotten a push on today. The retreat of the Orange Loon to Mar al Lago may influence the eventual result.

End of the week and only 1 more week to go in the January Monthly Comp. What a week it's been, plenty of action that's for sure.

Sorry it's very brief tonight but the wife is sitting in the car waiting for me, got to go ... Have a good weekend everyone. :)
