Israel - Palestine

Sounds like a big turnout in the U.K.

London: Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned far-right “thugs” and “Hamas sympathisers” after a day of violence in the capital saw more than 100 arrests.
Sunak said far-right hooligans clashing with police, and pro-Hamas regalia witnessed during the National March for Palestine, had disrespected the military and Britain’s fallen on Armistice Day.

Comment from rabbi on news tonight.
We generally get along with Islamic community but it is not them but racist activists who we are struggling against whom are using the conflict to attack us even though they hate Muslims possibly more than us.

It appears that this conflict is being used as an opportunity to advance extremist ideologies.

"Then 16-month-old Melissa, her sister’s cheerful daughter who had just taken her first steps weeks earlier, was pulled out, completely still and quiet. Everyone assumed she was dead.

Shrapnel from the Israeli air attack had lodged in Melissa’s spinal cord, paralysing her from the chest down."

"Melissa’s mother had been nine months pregnant. The Associated Press reported that she had gone into labour during the attack and was found dead beneath the rubble, the heads of her lifeless twins emerging from her birth canal."

4000 kids so far…
Yes it's sad and in Australia we can't even imagine the numbers and the suffering, the real problem is when people suffer a huge brutality they normally over react when attacked.

Apparently 1.5 million kids were killed in the holocaust, which is probably still fresh in the memory of many Jews, it doesn't make it right but coming from a very violent childhood I know that it is easy to overreact when you face violence.

Hopefully a sensible end can be found, but obviously attacking people that were subjected to genocide and systematic euthanasia , wasn't the ideal way forward with discussions.

From the outside looking in, the last time the Jews turned the other cheek and were compliant, it didn't work out so well.

Like I said, hopefully a common ground can be found and both cultures can live in harmony, side by side, but I don't think beating the jews into submission will be easy this time round.

Europeans, in particular, Nazi Germany were responsible for the Holocaust. You can't blame the Palestinians for that one.

It is ironic that the "Holocaust" is always brought up in this situation, when that is effectively what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians.

Funny how it only matters when Israel is involved.

Well over 10,000 children so far in the Yemeni conflict, over 20,000 children in Syria, over 40,000 civilians in the ongoing Kurdish situation in Turkey.

Nobody is marching in the streets for Iranian women being stoned or butchered for not wearing a burqua.

...and none of the leftist pearl clutchers give a damn about the satanic atrocity of Oct 7, or the over 200 hostages still in Gaza enduring God knows what, or the tens of thousands of rockets that continue to be fired at Israeli citizens.

Nobody is marching in the streets for them, nobody is calling it a genocide or apartheid.

Why is that? (rhetorical question because the reason is well known)

The death rate according to the Israeli estimates is 1.2 civilians per 1 person Hamas.
It is urban warfare and you are never sure if a member of the population is an innocent or a combative. and they are using human shields.

I know Israel definitely has the right to respond but I am getting concerned as to how long this is taking and the way to finish it.

Some clever thinking is required.

I don't think I did blame the palestinians for that, I think I used it as an example as to why Israel may be over reacting, which IMO they are.

Israel won't stop with the bombing & total destruction of Gaza & the Palestinians - Israel will try obliterate them into oblivion as well as then target Syria etc.

Israel are only going to make matters much much worse as a result/consequence going forward (be to their detriment).

Hope you are wrong, Telamelo. I agree with your conclusion if so.

AFAIK the Left Bank is still quiet, they used to be linked to the Gaza strip with joint governance but after Hamas took over Gaza the Left Bank govt said we ain't with you !

Hopefully, a truce can be negotiated but the problem is that in the past Hamas used that as an opportunity to re-arm and start again.

The long term answer is a negotiated acceptance like at the Left Bank but Hamas leaders swear to wipe Israel off the map or die trying

Not much wiggle room there

Let's not forget Armenians, Christians sacrificed on the basis of oil and US Russian hatred.
I do not worry overall for the Palestinians: for the last 40 years, the west has been siding with the Muslims comitting societal suicide in former Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Europe the next caliphate ...
It is only a matter of time for Israel to get wiped out.
Not that this bring me any joy.
A matter of time...

The whole thing is a mess the making of by both sides including foreign actors and will continue on to be so pretty much forever.

The immediate problem for Israel is they do require western backing so are judged accordingly, no one cares for Hamas that I am aware of but the continuing deaths of children by Israeli hands is another matter.

If and when they kill off all of Hamas fighters and subjugate the Gaza population how many dead kids is a fair price?

Then what are the unintended consequences that will inevitably turn up afterwards in the middle east, Hamas on steroids?

More guns, more bombings and the like. Will ever end because that is the mind set and the culture of these people.

As long as us infidels believe that Islam is a religion and not a war manual, history repeat itself.a world caliphate ..
Israel will fall , in line with the US, look how the West leftists behaves in this recent conflict.
"Funny" how the WEF programs are actually destroying what is actually a key financial ally
There is only so much the American Jewish community safely protected half a world away can do: billions sent from overseas can not replace feet on the ground and I think that it could be a very fast exit by many Israel younger residents using their dual citizenships once the conflict warms up
A 20y old Israeli does not have the same motivation now to die for a barren desertic rocky land than in the 1960s
