Well done to Dizzy Gillespie who has just scored his maiden hundred and in a test match too.
What a great comeback from a guy who was virtually written off.

Yeah, good for the 'old' boy, he's added valuable runs for us in the past in much tougher battles, good to see a 100 on his record!! Bet McGrath wont hear the end of it! ;)

Nice touch running out ponting as well.. effectively a bit of a 'hey FU buddy send me in as nigth watchman as if my wicket is exspendable would you.."

well maybe not but.. 8)

A maiden ton AND he runs out the skipper??? I haven't seen any news all day, but I presume this all happened because he dumped the mullet. So did it improve his bowling as well?

Ghoti

Lets face it, this tour of Bangladesh is just about the last straw for all of them. After the Aussie summer then race off to SA, now back to Asia, they are not machines, I believe that Dizzy getting a ton will cheer the whole team up.

Imagine the problems these guys have maintaining a family unit with all the travelling they are now forced to do, no travel = no play, but surely there is a limit to being away from home so much.

Can't wait till Dizzy shaves his head most be waiting for the Poms to get his revenge. About 2 years ago I rated this guy as one of the best pace bowlers in the world, even watching the Ashes he didnt look like he was bowling that bad. I know this is only against Bangla Desh but its a confidence boost, we need a pumped Dizzy to face the Poms.

yeah, well done Dizzy...

he is one of the hardest bowlers to get out, had many illustrious partnerships in the lower order... well derserved.

I can't wait for the POMS...

Gets the big double.. was expecting ponting to call him in on 199no to make up for yesteday,

I still think a double century should count as two 100's on your test record. :banghead:

Dizzy's being diddled

cheers

bullmarket :)
