Do you keep a data base of who has picked what and how their picks performed each month? Could be interesting to see who can pick shares that gain in a given month (and who can't). :)

Unfortunately, no. I've never been good with spreadsheets and number crunching.

However, if we have a number crunching whiz amongst us, feel free to collate the data from each month's competition thread and let us know the results. I agree it would be very interesting.

I am opening the innings with PXG Phoenix Gold for December.
With Jon Price as the CEO, I am sure the company will prosper

I thought to be an opener and now realise I was tenth order batsman at the tail end.
30 November in Arizona but sunny 1 Dec in Sydney.
So look like I am Zero Not Out for Dec competiton unless Joe considers a late entry :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Joe,
There are only 46 participants at the DEC 2011-Stock Tipping Competition(STC).
Please consider opening now the gates for the JAN 2012-STC to see
if there will be an increase in the number of participants.
Soon you may have to think about changes for refreshing STC.

How is Woolworths going eh! Up 6%, ranking 7th in the tipping competition and every prospect of finishing higher come the end of the month. Pretty good for a blue chip up against the penny dreadfuls imo. :)

With the xao drop of 104 points, WOW proved to be a haven for nervous traders and managed to contain the drop to just over 1%. WOW has improved it's position as we round the bend and is now ranked 5th in the stock tipping competition for this month.

The danger, I see it, is all the retail company profit downgrades may flow onto Woolworths (and WES) handicapping our prospects in the final straight. Go you good thing. :)
