And now 5/129.4/124
The West Indies junior squad are doing OK.
Reckon we will get above 300 though.
The good ones are playing for money in India I believe. This is turning into a 2 day test. Where's the Windies of old?

But I was only having one beer quiet beer at the pub, so when I heard it was the first innings of a test, I was shocked to say the least.
What a debacle. Not sure what's happened to West Indies cricket. Maybe all the countries in the grouping a going through some tough financial times and can't keep the games development funding going. One of the commentators said they were even struggling to prepare pitches. But, you don't need to be a rocket surgeon or have a lot of cash to roll a lump of turf. Maybe it's just a phase but we need a strong Windies for World test cricket. Otherwise it's Australia, India, England the then daylight.
They should get him in the nets with a bowling machine bowling tennis balls so he can sharpen his technique with a reduced chance of injury. Will Pucovski has been hit in the head AGAIN playing for Victoria second 11, and has had to retire hurt.
This must be 10 or 11th time he has been hit,
Surely by now he must give up playing cricket.
He has a pretty obvious problem against the short ball.

I don't recall Viv Richards getting hit on the head and he never wore a helmet even when facing Lillee and Thompson.Batpersons who played the game prior to the introduction of helmets and other protective gear must laugh at the current crop of players getting hit in the head.
There just seems to be a lack of technique in playing the short ball these days.
Perhaps helmets have given them a false sense of security.
Mick
