Well, that is deeply personal, but something along the lines of the cliched "world peace"?So what are you going to say?
The banking cartel and right side of J…h supremacy as to Bolshevik communism is to the left.What/where is Zion?
People like me tell you but you say I'm wrong, so what do you think it is?....and, though legitimate topics of discussion here (and hope for later in the thread), can we get back to what folks think Zionism means for now?
Zion is a physical place in Israel, sometimes used in place of Israel as a whole.People like me tell you but you say I'm wrong, so what do you think it is?
Well I think Zionusm encompasses Palestinian land as well as the established State of Israel, so they want someone else's homeland as well as their own.Zion is a physical place in Israel, sometimes used in place of Israel as a whole.
Zionism is to believe that the Jewish people are entitled to a Homeland, vis a vis Jewish nationalism.
Not a whole lot different to Australian, British, American, or whoever else, nationalism.
The corollary of which is that if people wish to deny Zionism then you also deny any other sort of nationalism... Pretty simple, once the conspiracy theories are discarded.
Is this based on your opinion, propaganda, or your actual readings of history?Well I think Zionusm encompasses Palestinian land as well as the established State of Israel, so they want someone else's homeland as well as their own.
And I would point out that the history his far more complex, from the point of view of both sides, than what might be used to justify any one position. Is this based on your opinion, propaganda, or your actual readings of history?
Research. Is this based on your opinion, propaganda, or your actual readings of history?
Correct.Research.
In any case if Zionism was just a desire for a Jewish homeland, they have it, its called Israel, so what's the problem?
Jewish settlers has been crossing borders established by the UN, and others don't like it.Correct.
That begs the question then, who has the problem with it?
Israel has legitimate historical claims over Judea and Samaria (aka The West Bank). Issue is probably a lot more complex than what is portrayed in the Western media.Jewish settlers has been crossing borders established by the UN, and others don't like it.
Mine, I paid for it.BTW Horace, whose land are you settled on at this point in time?
"Jewish" is an interesting word. And has a much more broad meaning than "Christian".Palestinians are actually Semites via DNA testing it should be noted. Many of the Israelis are less so if at all. It's a clash of religions.
I don't like this "religion as identity" grift. Where you can use it as a racial description as if it's inherent stored in your dna. It would be like describing you as a Christian as your race. I find aspects of all religions stupid. Jewish faith has aspects of stupidity and greed peppered through it.
Don't know. If you are born Muslim the Muslim Church owns you for life and if you try to leave they will kill you."Jewish" is an interesting word. And has a much more broad meaning than "Christian".
In the Jewish world, if your mother is Jewish, you are Jewish no matter what your dominant race is, whether you subscribe to the religion of Judaism at all. IOW, you can be religiously Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Atheist or whatever; if your mother is Jewish you are Jewish.
This does not exist for any other group so quite unique in that regard.
Second point, as usage in the English language stands, semitic and anti-semitic does seem to have quite different underlying meanings.
Semantic does absolutely refer to a racial/ethnic ethnic group, not necessarily Jewish.
However the dictionary definition of anti-semitic does refer to being anti Jewish. That can be confusing and being a patent it doesn't sit well with me either but, there it is.

That is true but it is still a little bit different. In Islam it is a religious thing, Judaism it is an ethnic thing. You can be a Buddhist and still be a Jew... And they won't try to kill you.Don't know. If you are born Muslim the Muslim Church owns you for life and if you try to leave they will kill you.
It seems like a construct to me. Otherwise you would think Palestinians are more Jewish than the Jews. That is true but it is still a little bit different. In Islam it is a religious thing, Judaism it is an ethnic thing. You can be a Buddhist and still be a Jew... And they won't try to kill you.
Even in Israel you can be whatever religion you want and still be a Jew. You can also be an Arab Muslim or Drew's or whatever and they still won't try to kill you.
It's kind of weird from our Western perspective race and religion and whatnot.
My wife's best friend (now passed away unfortunately)was an absolute atheist, but still identified as a Jew.
Ex Muslims do not identify as Muslim, no matter what the previous community thinks.
No. Isreal has always been Palestinians' land, in the early days the Bible referred it to the Holy Land so its one or the otherZion is a physical place in Israel, sometimes used in place of Israel as a whole.

This is absolute nonsense. Pick up any Bible and at the back there are always maps representing various periods in biblical times, based on non-biased scholarship and archaeological evidence.No. Isreal has always been Palestinians' land, in the early days the Bible referred it to the Holy Land so its one or the other
England has always been for the Anglo just as Palistian/ hold land has been to the Palestinian
