Victorians Please Stay in Victoria

Then everyone would be Vitamin D deficient, can't win when your a pollie
Yea, I reckon only 25% are doing it and no one gets fined. I think its there for psychological reasons (to encourage indoor use) but really its stupid.

Today's announcement.
Pretty much no rules anymore except for hospitals and aged care facilities once vaccination rate reached 90% of all people over 12.
This is expected to occur on November 24th. No rules. This means, to me, vaccine passports end on this date also.

"We were not going to lock the place down to protect people who had not protected themselves," Premier Daniel Andrews said.

Pure politics.

I cannot believe that Comrade Dan and Scomo actually agree on something BUT there it is.

I have always felt that we should offer the vaccine to everyone and then it should be an individual choice.

The only thing missing is the lack of guidance for treatment and support during the incubation stages

I don't think so Knobby. From my reading people who are not vaccinated will not be allowed into a very wide range of public spaces. Overall all places will be open with no restrictions on number. But no vax no entry.

Vaccination won't be compulsory. It's just that if you aren't vaccinated you won't be allowed to enter many premises.:cautious:

The "vaccinated economy" will remain in place at this stage, with unvaccinated Victorians continuing to be locked out of most settings.

"We've made the vaccinated economy not only broader, but we've also indicated – we've been very clear about the fact – that it's not changing any time soon, and it's going to be here for 2022," Mr Andrews said.

The Premier said he was "very confident" the state would be able to deliver a goal of having more than 80,000 people at the MCG for the Boxing Day Test.

The vaccine mandate will apply to all non-essential retail from this stage of the roadmap. ( Continuing)
Unvaccinated people will still be able to visit essential stores like supermarkets and pharmacies.

The Premier and Health Minister Martin Foley suggested during Sunday's press conference the retail mandate would apply from Friday, but it was later clarified the rules would only apply from the 90 per cent mark.

Update on the Victorian roadmap.
Makes it clear that while everythng will be open staff and patrons will all have to be double vaxxed. Be interesting to see how that is enforced.

I suspect the pressure will be on until sometime next year to get as many people as possible vaccinated and then quietly retired. :2twocents

Well you might be right Bas. Damn small print!
I don't think he will be able to hold this line. Let's see what NSW do.
The keep the pressure on on the short term to get everyone vaxed though makes sense as to what the Government is thinking.

I think we open up December. Transmission hasn't bumped yet. I'd expect a bump going into next winter though.

Regarding the title of this thread, I think the other states might start to expect asylum seekers from Victoria, after Mao Tse Dan's latest moves.

Get out while you can.

LMAO, and right on cue:

It's so good to see a state population, possessed of such enormous confidence, and trust, in its esteemed leader, that it willingly granted him those additional powers, he recently sought.

After all, when reflecting upon his performance over recent years, one need not even ask oneself "What could possibly go wrong?"

So grab yourselves a super sized bucket of popcorn, and enjoy the show. It's sure to be one action packed performance.

But, Victorians, if nothing else, please make sure that you...

Hmm. Government funded grooming with a side order of propaganda. Don't listen to your parents kids. Just love your Government overlords.

Maybe check before you go advertising a 40+yo on a date with a "14" yo.

LGBTQP.... by the state, by stealth.[/B]

Found out today, Melbourne gets more international tourists than Sydney.

Don't worry Sydney, you get more domestic tourists.

To be honest I would prefer to visit Melbourne than Sydney, just so long as I knew that I could get the hell out of there again ;)

Perth is the most economical destination, you can spend a week here in a day. ;)

By airmiles, the distance beteeen Melbourne and Singapore is less than Sydney- Singapore.

Mercator has a lot to answer for.
