The Voice

Well you certainly can't defend your latest piece of tripe.

It’s his last line of self defence

Well you certainly can't defend your latest piece of tripe.
How about you show where anyone has ever made a claim that tax laws are based on race.
Nobody has!
So your question was a straw man in logic, and the tripe remains on your plate.

On the other hand neither you nor @JohnDe have responded to the many contradictions I have shown in your posts on the Voice. Poor old @JohnDe only uses the fallacious argument from authority in his copious copypastes when he is not otherwise tossing around ad hominems.

Then why did you make this statement ?

rederob. Post #1136

"You just showed that your claim of equality under the law was bogus."

Because it's true.
Do you not understand that?

Where have you shown a single claim you have made is true?

No it's just more of your bullshite.

Explain exactly how @farmerge showed that his claim of equality under the law was bogus.

If you can't do that we can assume you are a complete fraud with nothing to back up your outrageous claims.

At least he has shown us what to expect if the present formula for the Voice gets up.

I am putting you on ignore.
@farmerge showed there are laws for farmers that don't apply to everyone.
You still cannot work that out, and besides that you have never shown a single point you have claimed is valid.

Let's go back to your comments on the first page of this thread that showed you have no idea about the Voice. For a start, while anyone can claim to be of any descent, there remains a burden of proof. ATSI people are required to satisfy 3 separate criteria for their claim to be proven.

In regard to your comment about a council wanting to develop a housing estate you queried if they needed to consult the Voice. Given the Voice proposes to advise the federal parliament on policy and has nothing to do with council affairs it was clear from the outset you had no idea about what it would do. Furthermore, had you read anything relevant you would have known that the Uluru Statement from the Heart called for a First Nations Voice enshrined in the Constitution. It certainly does not meet any definition of being the "ideal" you thought it represented.

On the second page you confused the concept of internal and external powers, not understanding the difference. Pretty much from there onwards you have been full of excuses and suggested ATSI problems are largely of their own making. That does not square with our history. Nor does it explain the failure of policies that are supposed to improve the circumstances of ATSI peoples.

Just been out in remote areas and reading this thread is hilarious.

The current to and fro has nothing in connection to the Voice.

Rob has offered up a detailed and comprehensive/ constructive commentary all that has come back is rubbish unfortunately and it will likely be that rubbish that decides the outcome such is life currently in Australia

Yeah it’s a bugger living in a democracy where people can have different opinions, plans, alternative perspectives and a choice.

Actually none of that is an issue but the failure to help, have empathy, basic understanding Aboriginal history, the Gap between them and the rest of Australians also failing to park deep prejudice / resentment.

None of the anti Voice sentiment expressed here will age well it will be left to be seen for what it is.

When the referendum fails you will all be able to cheer for failing a simple test.

It will rightly be seen as:
Anti bureaucracy
Anti Elite
Anti Marxist
Anti WEF
Pro Aboriginal grass roots.
Pro equality
Pro common sense.

Exactly the opposite of the Marxist yes campaign.

No, @#$& off with your aspersions of racism you toxic loon.

I respect your opinion but beg to differ.

The gap must be closed but another bunch of 'consultants' in Canberra won't do it.

The Minister is an Aboriginal person. That she thinks a voice in Canberrra will solve the problem is just an indication of her failure to listen and to act.

She has the power to go out and consult and to then take action in Parliament.

Maybe she should just do her job.

Help? We are a nation of people who help many and in many ways.
Empathy? We’re all different, but the majority do have empathy.
Basic understanding of Aboriginal history? I don’t know about you but I was lucky enough to have received a fairly good education which included several years of Australian history including the good and bad.
The gap between them? See this is where you & Rob fail to understand the Yes & No debate, and have no intention to listen.
Australian’s failing to park deep prejudice? How old are you? I ask because I grew up during a time of high racism and prejudice, so much that there were government funded commercials on TV to help stop it. I was on the end of a lot of the racism, saw it everywhere back then. Today is different, Australia is a multicultural country with the majority of people being fair and understanding. We are not perfect but most of us are not prejudiced and resentful.

I don’t think anyone here has disagreed with First Nations Aboriginals being recognised. What I have seen is people having concerns about the wording, about possible consequences if we leave loopholes in our constitution. Issues created by not improving for all people regardless of citizenship, colour, religion, race, gender. But instead we have people wanting to add a them and us, by allowing one race of people powers to have an unelected political group in Parliament that can make recommendations to MPs and PMs.

That may not be the total case, but we don’t know. History is full of examples where leaders have failed in their duties to ensure equality for all.

Making up your mind before the time has come is your prerogative, but shoving your views down our throats and abusing everyone that doesn’t agree is poor form and reason to be wary.

Aboriginal history is undocumented and made up as it goes along to their own elite agenda.
The Voice will only expand on that. People have seen through it. Let if fail.

Sarcasm?

Like all history, the ages cause change and the victors become prominent. Aboriginal history was kept alive through story telling by the elders, and like their survival skills, the knowledge taught from the old to the young for generations.

Some, and I don't know how much, of that history has been lost due to colonialism and modernisation, but much has survived and has been and is being documented now.

There will always be rogues but truth eventually wins.

'Lousy Little Sixpence' uses a modern medium as Document. And it is now 40 odd years old.
*Made about the time Be-jelke Peterson was running Fred Hollows out'a Queensland for informing the Aboriginals he was treating, of a poverty related illness, of their voting rights.
*Made years before Keating's Redfern speech. Which was a cut&paste used by Stan Grant who then copped the pile on a couple of weeks back.
This education of Australian Aboriginal History of your's JohnDe, was it ever described in terms as.... 'What we have to face as a nation and we haven't faced yet' he said 'is that the occupation of this vast island continent was a pretty brutal and genocidal occupation.'
Which Minister for Aboriginal Affiars said that?

Nope, the spirits and sacredness is all made up. At their convenience.
