Hey Skinner.

Ok these are my early findings, otherwise it looks great, and when you have time for my wishlist, it will be fantastic.

These should keep you busy for a year...LOL

Possible Faults:
StockWatch list pops open full list everytime it updates and a change occurs.
if "0" missing from trigger field, exemption error occurs on refresh.
disable audio/popup triggers, but keep highlights out of trading hours
only small prob, but ballon popup should say "equal or less than" trigger price



Wishlist Features:
mp3 support would be nice.
refresh icon next to help button, in addition to f5.
ability to delete line wiith delete key/icon when highlighted in blue
ability to drag colums, changing colum order.
autosort automatically on volume placing movers on top.
colum to show %up or down from open
only small again, but coma's in the volume fields, making easy 2 read.
share "trading status" colum would be good 2.
Individual high,low, volumes, gapup/gapdown alert notices would be great
Instead of balloon displaying stockwatch version, can it display high/low coloured shares triggered by mouseover.

Stumbled across this fault few mins ago.

I only have 1 trigger in the asx listed test codes, which were highlighted red, but if I sort the colums by anything else, it still highlights the top row where the trigger asx code [was].

Also the red status dot in bottom left corner has a ballon window, which sometimes flickers rapidily when mouseover.

I think this may be classified as a bug 2 skinner.

If your trigger is hit, and the app opens with the cursor flashin in a code field, and you were typing something in say the address bar of your browser, it replaces the code fields data.

This may not be a problem if the app doesn't open when a trigger is met as addressed in previous post, and only trigger action reveals balloons.

EDIT: This is a GREAT little app guys and encourage you to check it out, for havin it keep an eye on your shares, thanks to Skinner.

Wishlist Idea.

Perhaps a backup/restore option of the .xml file would be good Skinner, so there's a fallback if ever required, hence save having to reenter codes n settings all again.

Hi Skinner,

thanks very much for your work on this application and for making it available to ASF users.

I've been trialling it for about 2 weeks and I've found it a very helpful tool. I have also noticed the issues already raised by SevenFX.

In addition,

1. although I've found that the "ShowWarnings" feature seems to work predictably and on a timely basis, the "ShowPriceChange" feature seems to only work sometimes or not all, even though both features are turned on in the Tools,Options file.

2. regarding the sorting/highlighting problem as mentioned by SevenFX, I tried re-sorting immediately after first loading the application, and then polling, thinking this could overcome the problem, but unfortunately it didn't help and the wrong stocks are highlighted.

3. also, how do you delete an entry? I tried several ways, but none seems to work effectively.

Once again many thanks for making Stockwatch available to us.

Thanks Yelnats, it is my way of repaying for the help I have been given.

1. I will check the ShowPriceChange issue and add it to the list

2. The sorting issue has been addressed in the latest version

3. Delete an item by clicking on the grey at the beginning of the row (to highlight the whole row) then press the delete button.

This question may come up again, as I 2 stumbled across delete row, and perhaps suggest little bin icons on grey square(s), highlighting row & prompting for confirmation 2 delete.

John, it appears that the Price Changes only display when there are no Warnings to be displayed. ie. it's one or the other - Warnings or Price Changes, not both. Is this is what was intended, this feature is working OK.

That would work for the more savvy, though the novice [may] not find it.

Guessin they will eventually or could type over the code with another code.

Hi, I have downloaded StockWatch, but whenever I try to open it I keep getting the same error:

StockWatch.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate application.

it sounds like you don't have the Microsoft dotnet2 runtime installed. Download from here
