Software/Data for all financial markets?

Does anybody know what software is required to trade ALL financial markets?

ie. commodities, forex, indices, stocks, etc.

Do you need different/separate software for everything?
(Im looking for MS/Amibroker type analysis software)

What about data?

Coz those trend followers that clean up seem to be trading everything.....

No you can use the one piece of software.

Its more about data.
I use Justdata.( I have 7 bourses (Mainly for testing)).
Premium data is excellent from all reports.
FX data would need to come from another scource I would think.
Dont trade FX so dont know.

Does Justdata be used for commodity/futures as well?

I didnt know that.

And MS/TradeSim would be fine for testing?

well I would think if you were happy with your tool kit

it comes down to a question of data and ability to scan

Similar to Premiumdata they have a wide range, covering multiple exhnages, Forex, Commodities and Futures.

Similarly to tech/a, I use Justdata and download data from multiple exchanges.

In terms of Forex, Justdata and Premiumdata only offer Forex EOD data. If you require intraday data then you would need to look at some like csidata.

Historical Forex intraday data can be dowloaded from someone like forexrite.

I wonder if there is anyone who uses Amibroker and downloads data from the Shanghai excange?

They have data available in ASCII...this should work in AB. Anyway, we're going to give it a try.

Premium data looks good.
About au$2k/year for forex, futures, stocks (ASX + US markets) and all historical data.

Ok, how about a broker for forex and futures?

Any recommendations from those that currently trade these?
