Snippets From the Clown World

Target is in panic mode. Executive have got rid of all kids 'pride' clothing.
I can't speak for everyone obviously but among friends for whom it's a relevant issue, they're not at all keen on what they see as turning private sexuality into a public freak show.

As they see it, they're normal people living normal lives apart from being wired a bit differently when it comes to sexual preferences and attraction. They see that as a private matter between consenting adults, they want privacy and respect in the same manner as anyone else, but they don't want it turned into a commercialised product and definitely not one that involves children. :2twocents

How does the old saying go, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Apparently there is a huge surge in right wing groups, well I never, who would have thought that would happen?

Not quite related but similar, we're living in an era where people wear band T-shirts for bands where they couldn't name a single member or even recognise any of their music.

We're living in an incredibly fake world right now where everything from music to sex is turned into a brand to be slapped onto T-shirts, water bottles and countless other things meanwhile the response to someone declaring war and sending in a real army is to put coloured lights on buildings and monuments.

Future historians are really going to struggle to comprehend what was going on at this point in history and how truly bizarre it must've been to live through it and experience it first hand. We're living through a unique time here, one that makes 1970's punk and 1980's fashions seem remarkably sensible and conservative in comparison. :2twocents

here's one where there's a disconnect.
The NSW Government has ruled out closing the Harbour Tunnel to trucks altogether because the majority of heavy vehicles are already prevented from crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge ....

Recently a number of penalties for over-height vehicles were increased, some were doubled. These include:
  • On-the-spot fine for over height trucks entering Sydney tunnels: $4,097
  • Demerit points for the offence are 12 (of maximum 13 points for a heavy vehicle driver)
  • Suspension period for a driver’s licence up to six months
  • Registration suspension period for trucks up to six months.
Minister Graham said:

“Good drivers know the height of their truck and stick to the tunnel height limit. “Unfortunately, a small minority of drivers are holding the city to ransom.

“They are neither professional nor responsible, and they are continuing to ignore the message about overhead height restrictions. They are threatening the safety and the patience of motorists. My message to that handful of bad drivers and their truck companies is you will be hit with the harshest penalties possible, more often."

.... But to save us from Extinction Rebellion [soi disant] it's alright to block traffic for hours, only a slap on the wrist awaits.

Not quite on topic but as a life tip - "do not lock yourself out of your own house"

Don't ask why I'm saying that..... :(

I had the key yes. Just the wrong key.....

Unbelievable

Not calling someone (who has mental issues) in the 3rd person could attract a $10k fine.....

These clowns were giving advice to everyone about Covid-19. We were all duped. I regret taking the vaccine, everyone who was employed was forced to take the shot or lose their job.
