Rugby League

Payten better have the team prepped and ready to rock and roll next Saturday 1st home game in Townsville against the Sharkies ..

He is running out of excuses, next one the chopping block is Payten.

After Sharkies they got Brisbane in Brisbane, then the Raiders at home, then the Panthers in Sydney, then the Rabbits in Sydney ...

Tough gig.

Well played Manly you dominated.

did rcw1 tell you all how pi55ed off rcw1 was during and after, way after ... their game ...

Disappointing start to the season for you

NRL seems to be getting more popular, the tipping competition on SB has 271k starters this year already.

I tipped Storm to win by 42, they are 40 in front at half time, should have tipped 62...........

rcw1 would hate to be a Paramatta supporter today ... crikey worse than the Cowboys if there is ever such a thing ...

Poor poor Jason Ryles ... welcome to big league bloke

So then Labor’s weekend victory in the West Australian election must be good news for North Sydney Bears supporters. Many Queenslanders would remember the likes of Billy Moore, Gary Larson, Tony Rea, Ben Ikin and many other Queenslanders who played for Norths until their demise during the Super League war.

Before the election the NRL had talkies with the WA government about the possibility of a Western Bears team joining the NRL with a $120 million backing plus stadium and grassroots support being already on the table.

Probably plenty more negotiations yet to transpire, fingers crossed the Bears will be back .. with a new home and vengeance.

Great game. And the Panthers are never out of it, not until the very end.

Not like Manly, who you know don't have a hope in hell of coming back from a deficit...

Yes, just reinforces rule number one : never bet on NRL games 😭

I stayed about the same spot in the tipping competition, everyone must have tipped the same as me

Cowboys were horrible yesterday at home. rcw1 got there to witness it ... there are real problems ... rcw1 depressed

Cowboys much better tonight did enough to pass the pub test but nowhere near enough over the 80 minutes needed to win the game.
Broncos 26 Cowboys 16 at Suncorp ...

Cowboys v Raiders 4.30p in Townsville next Saturday, gunna be a tough one then the Panthers ... None outta 3. Poor start, to a long season.

Gunna have a rum

It's a shame he won't be a one club player.

I wonder why he wants a move? Money, I suppose.
@Ferret
Rcw1 understands that as soon as DCE said he was leaving the club, the owner has got back to him with a 2 year contract, apparently the initial offer was only for one year same same Adam Reynolds scenario …

Looks like roosters and dolphins chasing him too if the media is to be believed …

Some interesting times …

He is very frugal and well set for retirement but I agree with RCW, he just wants an extra Million before he quits
Seems we are wrong RCW and me, DCE says he wants the freedom to play somewhere else if he wants to but also wants Manly to have time to find another half back.

@Ferret note DCE have told Manly he won't be with the club in 2026!! This is a big call ... wonder what club he will end up with???
I reckon Dally Blueberry Evans will end up at the Dolphins.
He won a premiership at Manly in 2011 and has done nothing since, except bleed more than 10 million bucks out of the club. He couldn't make it into the Queensland State of Origin team until Cooper Cronk, Jonathon Thurston etc retired. Overrated player, happy to see him go.

...
there is talk @Macquack ... the dogs and roosters are sniffing....
Probably the Dolphins got more coin to spend... so sure rcw1 hasn't rule them off the list of prospective buyers either you coud well be on the money there ... not sure of the Sea Eagles appetite to keep the lad, from the get go. Certainly strange times ...

I recall an article about him and it said he and his wife own substantial RE in Qld so the Dolphins may be next stop.

One last season for $1.3m can buy another house ;)
