Radio Rentals Float

Yeah, I'm paying for these shares by way of monthly payment for 18 months. Then I get them by paying $1, sweet.

Just a thought on this one in the longer term: Radio Rentals in the U.K. closed down all their shops as demand gradually dwindled and now operate, online only, under a new name. People, in my view, only rent if they are too poor to buy, so the future, in the longer term is not that good, imho.

I believe they sell stuff too dont they? Isn't their motto, "rent, try, buy" ? Or is that another mob? Are they under a franchise model, or do they own and operator all their stores?

All I would say is read the prospectus on page 12, para 1.4, it says everything.

I think we have a complete different sete of circumstances than England scenario. Radio Rentals have been around for since the 50's. Although I don't think it will be a huge growth stock, it does look attractive on p/e and yield numbers. Management have wealth of experience and they are going in the right direction.......the key is to adapt to market conditions if things aren't going as well.

It would have been good if some of this cash went into the Bank Account of Radio Rentals instead of zero.

Wouldn't trust this mob, one of their drivers flogged my bike when I was small.
Dad witnessed them put it in the back of their truck so wrote to them and received no response as far as I know.

The original owners are selling the entire company off so it doesnt seem like they have much hope for the company at all. Only like 1% is in escrow. Anyways, regardless, their a brand everyone knows and just because of that, people will still like ****ty companies. Their up 50% today.
