Captain_Chaza finished in first place with an excellent 58.43% return with WC8. In second place was rcm617 who achieved an enviable 52.17% with STK. Rounding out the top three for October was mullokintyre who selected 3DA, which returned an admirable 18.60%.

Well done the winner, and the other 8 who finished in positive territory.

These days to have a spread of 5% - 58% from those, is no mean feat.

Twenty six of us in negative territory though, means stock picking is a perilous way of making a quid going long in a bearish market. On with Novemeber I say. Also November.

So without any fanfare, bugle blowing, trumpet trumpeting or drum banging, the much coveted Certificate of Do Better Next Month and Wooden Spoon is passd on to me.
As I have that valuable source of information at my fingertips, that extremely wise sage, the bloke in the mirror, I have decided after much thought, well all of 10 seconds, to hand these trophies onto him.
Being a non drinker and a very quite type I have no reason to doubt the condition of the celler will be as he found it.

End of the October Monthly Competition. I'll make it short as the results are in by Joe and others have also pitched in to fill the picture of events .

XSO finished down -5.59% meanwhile the ASF Team Average took a bit of a hiding down -9.42%. Not many winning months for @Telamelo this year, hope he has deep pockets.

1st: Congratulations @Captain_Chaza WC8 58.43% with another win with WC8. 2nd: Congrats to @rcm617 STK 52.17% it was close at the finish. 3rd: @mullokintyre 3DA 18.60% a nice finish yesterday.

Mr Debtfree I personally would rather forget about the October Comp but what is,is unfortunately.

Not a great start for LTR in the current comp today, but at least the bottom rung of the ladder is further away at present.
